The Children (A Mascot Induced Rant)
Posted by: PsychoticPorcupine - 06-05-2007, 11:43 AM - Forum: General Chat - Replies (9)

The thing that pisses me off as my Character, Harry the Hawk, is not the irritable children. As most mascots will tell you they love children, and most children love them. Its the Teenagers, and College students.

This weekend from Friday until Monday at aroound noon I have been slaving away at mascot camp for my fourth year in a row. Nothing major to learn, just learning antics doing skits and interacting with people who know what it is like to be in character.(Run on!) So lets go back to our first preformance with no skits no holds bar just go interact with the crowd.

I had my tail pulled at least seven times, and you know what I never saw a single child under the age of 12. I know, I know cheerleaders, they don't know any better, but still they could at least not act like children. This was for an evaluation I got a blue ribbon and then later an award for most creative entrance.

The next day cheerleaders try out ofr all American, in the stadium again. This time I knew what I wanted to do. I went out got into full character and hit the stands. Going out waving to children, and high-fiving a few kids who I believe had down syndrome. It was alot of fun, hot, but the most fun I have had at camp. The children were nice all of them hugs or high fives but the teenagers would not leave me alone.

I had to have my instructor come scare em off for me. The reason why this whole rant is focused on them is not just because they did that but it reminded me the last time I was in the crowds at school, most teenagers attacked me. I can deal with children infact with my large feet I am afraid I might hurt them.

But Teenagers when I see them coming I usually look over my sholders to check out my exits, and escape routes. They are big and they just want you to talk or get your attention, in fact most highschoolers are worse then children. Mainly because of the "Advanced" Vocabulary they learned in their TAKS remediation class.

Well im about done with this rant, and if you are are a teenager and you see your school mascot make sure to give them a highfive dance with them, but please don't mess with us. Because one day we might be working at disney world and when your child comes up to sit on Tigger's Knee, for a picture you never know if that mascot will recognise you from high school but would you take the chance?

P.S. I got All-American Mascot

  A short poem..

I doubt this is any good by the standars of most of the members here.. and I don't know what caeory of poetry it would fit into.. but I thought it up when thinking about a signature for another forum..

Women can see me,
but the do not understand,
that what they see,
is something they cannot have.

For though I've no wish to hurt them,
nor give in to their demand,
I can say with all honesty,
that I'm in love with another man.

It sounded better in my head... but yea.. there it is.. my crappy attempt at poetry.

Derek was at a wal-mart waiting in line to buy dog food, and a woman behind him asked "Do you have a dog?"

"No," Derek said, casually, "I am starting the Pedigree diet again, although I shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but I lost 50 Pounds before I woke up in an Intensive Care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV drips in both of my arms. It is an almost perfect diet." he said as people start paying attention around him. "The way it works is if you get a little hungry, just pop a few in your mouth. It's nutritionally complete so I was thinking to try it again."

"Was the dog food the reason you were in the hospital?" the woman asked, "Did the dog food poison you?"

"No," Derek replied, "it was because I was sitting in the middle of the road licking my balls and a car hit me."

several people started laughing, making the woman feel embarassed.

"Of course I have a dog," Derek said, sarcastically, "why else would I buy dog food."

This is a happy rant.

I took four classes this past semester at school, two filler classes, and two classes that when taken together as supposed to be impossible to pass. Well after a semester of ass busting I pulled off what my teacher said only 4-5 other people in 7 people were able to manage. I passed both of the "impossible" classes with the proper grade to advance in my program.

That may not seem like much because it's only two classes but it was Microbiology and Advanced Anatomy and Physiology so it is fairly tough stuff. I am just happy my relentless grind of a semester paid off and I will be able to enjoy a year of light classes until I get into my clinical studies...I would like to go "IN YOUR FACE!" to my teached because he kept telling me to drop one of the classes.

I. Hate. My. Sister. So. Very. Much.

To the point where I'm monologuing as I type this rant.

This is my first ever rant here on the DaD, and I'm not sure whether I'm doing something that will help me or not. Theres just something about confiding your inner feelings to people you don't really know that feels SO right.
Earlier today, I was at a party in a pub with my parents and she-who-was-born-a-bitch, and we were all getting along quite fine. Since it was a party, people shoveled a hellot'o'food on my plate, and to be polite, I tried my best to eat it all. I even went as far as to excuse myself so I can puke in the toilet. A few minutes later, superbitch comes out of no where, and shoves a puto into my face, saying "O, matakaw ka, kainin mo na to." (You're a glutton, so eat this!) in her oh so very BITCHY voice and tone.
I couldn't help but shove it back into her face. What did she do? SHE GOT MAD AND PUNCHED ME IN THE CHEST. I'm not sexist, so I'm not afraid to hit a girl when she deserves it- especially if they start it. So i just shove her. And she makes me leave. Now I'm stuck back in my apartment here in Ireland, waiting for my parents to come home punish me for my vulgar crime.

I've been tolerating her bitchery since she turned 12. She wasn't always bad... we used to be friends. But now, she seems to have excelled in the art of bitchcraft. Whenever I try to verbally deffend myself, she'd just go all "He. Bakla. Bakla. Bakla." in an interupting sort of way as I speak. She was calling me gay, and ignoring everything I say- I SO HATE HER GUTS.

She throws a good punch too- she's FAT, BITCHY, RUDE- and- and just plain MEAN!! And my parents just keep spoiling her, I mean- COME ON!! She leaves her stuff all over the place like some snake, doesn't care about my parent's PC, talks to her fake "friends" really loudly, is an insane GOSSIP, doesn't care about my parents, is extremely selfish, keeps asking for money even though we're having a currency crisis and HOGS THE COMPUTER!! why does she consistently updating her friendster account!?

RARGH!! GUAAARGAAARGH!! BWAAAAAAARGHAAAAAAAAUAAAAAUUUAAARGHAA!!!

(Ahem) Sorry. I really hate her, I actually screamed that as I typed it. Phew... now that I've typed this- I sort of feel a little better. Well thanks for your time, I might do this again.

I know what they were trying to do...but doing that to young children, especially after what happened in Virginia, is just wrong.  There are plenty of other ways (and better ways) to educate grade schoolers on what to do in those situations.
