As the new mod of the Rants section, I'll make the first new Rant. My R.A. was having a floor movie viewing of the Bewitched remake, and I went with her and her friends to see it. It was supposed to be a community building program, but they didn't talk to me during it, and she's rejected me as a Facebook friend afterward, after accepting the entire rest of my fucking floor.

In other news, I'm getting ready for my big poetry reading night, and I have a sore throat from practicing in my Kurt Cobain voice. Obviously, I won't be using that voice anymore, but I still have the sore throat.

We may need some moderators! If you see a category on the forum index that does not have two moderators, we definitely could use one there. The ones with two moderators sometimes could use a replacement moderator as well, so you may sign up for those spaces also.

If you want to be a moderator for the board, just send me a PM. Make sure the subject is "Moderator" or at least a variety of the word. In your message, tell me why you want to be a moderator. Think carefully and be honest.

After you do this, you can expect a PM from me saying whether or not we need you as a moderator. If we do, you can also expect a list of the available categories, and further instructions on your job as moderator. Just PM back with the one you want to moderate.

Here's a bit of what the moderator does. He or she will make sure there is order in his or her category. For instance, no verbal violence and no complaints that have nothing to do with the topic. Also, the moderator makes sure that the topics are at least relevant to the category. He or she won't have to go through each and every topic to make sure everything's hunky dory, but he or she will need to just jump here and there now and then and skim around to make sure the rules are being followed.

And one more thing I'd like to stress, and this goes for everyone. If there are complaints, or arguments and things that you need to get off your chest, please keep them in the Rants section. That's why it's there. We don't need any extra hostility or confrontation outside of the Rants category. Moderators will need to make sure of this.

I don't know if anybody knew about this, or cared, remembers, etc, but

I sat down the other day and opened up that Plugin comic for the first time in like months, translated and decensored from where I'd stopped before to the end, posted on the DHZ board (where the dude who was supposed to put the words on the pages hangs out) that it was ready....and then the board somehow died or something, and hasn't come back up since. In any case - assuming he, or at least somebody, is gonna' take care of that part, that one should be done sometime in the relatively near future. I'll probably have a little will to do something else now that that long one's not there to do.


Edit: Those other things being the other couple of comics that I inexplicably translated like halfway and then just completely stopped working on. I'm capricious. Sue me.

I saw this some time ago...and it kept haunting me....
One day I was coming back home in the bus, and there was a couple nearby, standing. Oh yeah, the kitchy kooish type, kissing each other, hugging and such. On a moment, both managed to sit down in a seat of two. While I was watching them, unconsciously cursing my fate, I noticed sth really, really odd. They were smooching all the time, but.....the guy was staring outside, looking at the window. I looked at another side for a minute, then I looked back. He was still staring outside.

I, as an envious one of these things, was thinking: what's the point of kissing sb when you're more interested in what's happening outside the window? How can you qualify the guy?

Ok , I heard a while back that the DooM movie was gonna be so fucked up and even be close to the original story line from the game. U kno, it was gonna be another video game to movie fuck up. But, recently I heard that the story line is different and it will be the same story line and all that will be different is the suits the marines wear and the guns they use, idk why they could just make the same. Anyways, if u kno more then I do about this movie, give me a heads up, k.

Never mind about the whole potential girlfriend thing. No doubt that she was interested in me, but apparently, I didn't move fast enough. On her little facebook thing, there were recent exchanges of comments about "fun" studying, probably involving the fraternity she said she was joining. She was looking for a smart guy who spoke Russian and enjoyed martial arts. I'm the only guy on campus who fits the profile, and she just lost me. Sucks for her, sucks for me, only the schmuck in the frat wins.

Does anyone know the name of the melody that is heard in the beginning of the thirst movie
