Kurtz was actually starting to worry now. He glanced at Dorothy quickly, and bit his lip. "....I don't think this place is safe... Good luck, Dorothy..." He gripped his blade tighter - knowing something was about to happen to them both. For of course, caves wouldn't be this straightforward and absolutely simple.

"We'll all go. I don't know what blabber that was Colby." Ikonnen stated softly. "Why does it concern you that light and dark are going? No bad omen happens. So," He slowly started to walk over to the door. "Let's get moving. Crimson, I want you at the back with me. Ada, back as well, you're more of the magic person, if I'm not mistaken."

He then took a glance at Wengren and Colby. "Wen, you go front. We'll see how strong you are. Colby, you can go in middle or front, your choice. Hiro and Silver must be informed, I want one of you to go and say to them."

"I'm... a-alright." Zerus whispered softly up to her, knowing her well enough to quickly inform her. "I.... I just... blacked out, that's all."
Wengren nodded hardly then without a word quickly ran out of Ikonnen's office and into the kitchen

< Kitchen >

"I hope you guys are full." Wengren said as he walked into the kitchen "The Cross is going on a huge mission, we're going to save Kellie from Kubrika's clutches. It'll be a full on assault everyone is going." he said

Silver looked up at Wengren with awe "We're what?' he quickly stood up dropping his chicken "Kellie was captured by Kubrika!!" He tossed his plate into the sink "Come on Hiro we're done eating, we gotta save Kellie." he said

Yoosei smiles and plants a soft kiss on his lips. "...I was sick worried about you my love.. I thought I had lost you forever" she shivers thanks to her own thoughts
Dorothy looked around, "So?" she asked, "Where's the monster?"

Mar's pupils shrank to the size of peas, his body seemingly had lost control, he stared on the ground as he coughed, Wh-what is this...? his vision started getting black. Soon the huge dragon grabbed his head, clenching his fangs together, "Get-out-of my mind!" he growled, then suddenly the pain was unbearable, he roared loudly.

At this, Dorothy widened her eyes, then turned around, only to see her brother charging at her with his swallow on hands and roaring loudly, he prepared to do a slash, but the wizard quickly dodged and rolled down the stairs and onto the ground. The blade of the Mastermune impaled on the wall as the dragonute growled.

"B-brother?" the girl said, quickly standing up and backing off from him.

"Grrr..." Mar growled, getting his swallow off the wall and starting to walk to her again, his eyes having lost all color.

Defeat the monster... prove thy worth...

"What?!" Dorothy gasped, still backing off from the approaching giant, "I can't fight him!"

Thou hast accepted the holy trial, there is no turning back now, young one.

She gasped again, "Mar wake up! Brother!" she cried helplessly.

The girl eventually came to a stop as she hit a wall, she looked back as she realized she couldn't keep backing off, and gasped yet again as she looked on the dragonute in front of her.

The dragon growled and raised his swallow, then started spinning it in his claw, ready to slash her, he hacked down.

"AHHHH!!" Dorothy screamed in distress as the swallow approached her.
Kurtz's face lost it's colour - going deathly pale as he watched. Fear struck through him through watching that. Was... was he also going to go like Mar? He put both his claws to his head, shaking his head. "No... I... I have to..."

Silence dawned for a second, before a sudden crack went through the corridor. It was like something you would see in one of those anime movies - the demon-like speed flowing through his veins and feet, as he sped forward.

In almost a split-second, he intercepted the blade, but at a cost. It dug deeply into his shoulder, causing him to roar in slight pain.... but, to probably Dot's fear, he started chuckling. "Damnit... knew I couldn't... trust you..."
He pulled a claw forward, and placed it onto the dragon's chest, before firing a large bolt of thunder into his chest - his eyes gone a bloody red and swirling hollows of darkness.
"No!" Dorothy cried as Mar flew away from the hit, spinning in air and falling onto the ground, the swallow still in his claws, "No! Kurtzy! Don't fight him!" she said, "Curaga!" she cast her healing spell and cured the heavy wound on Kurtz's shoulder, "We got to get him out of that trance! He's not himself!" she cried, trying to convince him.

Mar stood up, growling again, the impact had made him fly away, but his armor had reduced damage to almost nothing, "Grrrrr..." he growled louder, his fangs baring out as he glared and started approaching them

"I don't want to kill him, not now that I started to consider him like,"

Thou shalt fight your fight alone, be gone foreigner of the holy trial! the voice echoed. Before the crystal at the altar shone.

Dot widened her eyes, it happened way too fast. In the split second the voice stopped talking, the place flashed once. The Crystal had cast a very powerful Break spell on Kurtz.
That was it. The Break spell cast by the Crystal was too much for him, and he practically became a stony figure, solidified.
At this, Dorothy widened her eyes greatly, "Kurtz... Kurtzy..." she said, tapping his face, "No!!" she screamed, then waved her Angelic Staff, "Basuna!" she said and a green spiral surrounded Kurtz, hoping to heal the petrification. But it seemingly wasn't working.

If thou don't fight, thou shalt die.

She then remembered Mar and widened her eyes even more, she heard the dragon roar and prepare another slash, which she barely evaded, getting her waist cut by the slash and her dress torn open, "Ahh!" she yelped in pain.

Mar turned around and dashed towards her again, attempting to slash her body once more.

Dot tried to evade, but it was too late and she got her leg cut this time, disabling her movement by a nice amount, "Brother stop!" she cried in pain.

Fight, fight child, thy purpose as a Myrmiddon is purging the lands from monsters like him.

"He's not a monster!" she yelled, "He's my brother!" she screamed, tearing.

Use thy magic, child, thou must survive.

Mar rushed to the dragoness and attempted to cut her in half with a clean slash, Dorothy screamed as her back got slashed when she tried to parry the hit, blood pouring from all of the dragoness' wounds now, "I can't kill him!" she cried, tearing again.

If pain to thyself won't kill him, then pain to others shalt.

With that said, Mar stopped and stood still.

"Wh-what...?" the white wizard stood with her remaining strength, supporting herself by her staff.

Mar turned around, preparing to slash at the stone statue.

"No... NO!!" she screamed, her staff glowing. She knew she couldn't stop him, and Kurtz wouldn't be able to move from the petrification.

"Grrrrrahhh!!" the dragon roared, then dashed towards Kurtz.

"H-Holy! Dorothy screamed, aiming her staff to the sky, closing her eyes.

Everything went into slow motion, her tears, small shiny pearls of water, fell from her eyes, dropping to the floor, the hall slowly flashed inside. A green light starting to cover the place.
Before the dragon could strike, the light struck him, the swallow stopped just before reaching the statue's neck, he widened his eyes and started roaring from the unmeasurable pain, like if he was being burnt alive.

Thou hast done the right thing, young one.

Seconds later, everything ended. The lights went, Kurtz wasn't petrified anymore. The only things left on the ground were pieces of armor, the dark armor Mar wore, the swallow on its side.

Dorothy fell to her knees, her eyes fixed to the ground, "B-brother..." she said, her Angelic Staff rolling away from her, tears falling on the clean floor which reflected her image.

The crystal suddenly shattered. The loud sound making Dorothy turn around in surprise, her eyes fixing on the shards which fell next to her, followed by an old-rusted sword.

Proof that you hast become a Myrmiddon Warrior, thou hast acquired the Holy Dragon blade, the Einlanzer the voice said.

Dorothy clenched her fangs together, standing up and looking at the rusted sword, "I... I do not deserve a sword... I do not want to fight monsters... I do not want to kill anyone... anymore..." she said while tears flowed from her eyes. The dragoness turned around, walking towards the now normal Kurtz, she could only hug the dragon tightly, as tightly as she could ever hug, her face burying in his chest.

Child, rise and be proud, as for thou have recieved the most famished of all titles.

She didn't give time to Kurtz to reply to her current sadness, she went to her staff and grabbed it, "I don't care about titles... I just... want my brother back..." she disappointedly said and put the swallow and her staff together on the remaining pieces of armor.

...Thou are of a great heart, young one. Thou shalt be promoted here. But thy monster shan't come back, it was for everyone else's good.

The Angelic Staff and the Rusted Einlanzer started glowing white, as well as Dorothy, she looked down. Maybe the voice was right, maybe this was for everyone else's good. Who she was to question a divine ancient force? She could only fake her satisfaction, hoping that everything would end soon, if this was suffering, then she didn't want anyone else to suffer anymore.

Soon, the girl started floating in air in front of Kurtz, another flash occured as both the sword and staff fused together in front of Dorothy.

Upon the flash disappeared, Dorothy was revealed once again.
The dragoness floated back to the ground. Her body didn't look different, but her clothing did, in fact. She didn't have her White Wizard outfit anymore, instead, she was adorned with the finest platinum armor, boots, gauntlets, knee and elbow pads, her forehead being decorated with a very fancy platinum circlet. On her right claw, a shining sword, possesing two small wings on the hilt was being held.

Hail the new Myrmiddon! Now go, child! Purge the land from evil! the voice echoed again, before stopping to be heard for good.

Dorothy looked down on the ground, unamused by her promotion, her ears were down, her tail didn't move, she held her sword in both armored claws, but didn't even blink at it. The Myrmiddon just stood there, between the remains of the dark armor and the Dragon Knight.

"You got it, sir! Let's get going!" The fox scientist grinned as he looked to his sister to see the exact opposite expression on her face. "Ada..."

Ada's eyes began to widen, her mystic sights giving her ill omens, not for the fight with Kubrika but of something else. "What...what is this..." It was then that her staff begun to produce a new image of its own accords, a fuzzy projection of the Sky Dragon's Island before zooming inside. The vixen gasped as she saw Mar burning into nothingness from the light of Holy before the image disappeared. "No...no...Martin...how could this have happened?" Tears rolled down her cheeks before looked towards the window, looking out at the blue skies. "My love...dragon boy..." She went to her knees, sorrow filling every fiber of her being, her tears falling like crystals against the morning light. "You can't be gone...you can't!" Ada cursed the ancient spirits of old as she looked to the floor to see her saddened reflection. "He wasn't a monster...he had a heart..."

Crimson moved beside her and gave his twin a comforting hug, hating the fact his twin was in so much pain. "Ada...I know...he kept you safe all these years...I pray he did not suffer..."

"They didn't even give him a chance..." Ada held Crimson tighter whilst she cried into his shoulder. "Truly this is a cruel existence..."

Crimson closed his eyes as his sister sob against his lab coat, thinking for a moment. We are all doomed to die, our lives hanging by a thread above the great beyond. Oh how the gods torture us, letting us fall too soon, ripping apart the tapestries of love...of families. Where has justice fled to in this day and age, where heroes are slain and villains rule the day. He looked to Ikonnen before uttering, "Sorry, but we're going to need a few minutes..." The scientist lead her out of the office, holding the vixen tight whilst she cried for her lost love.
"No not recently, just went to do some training by myself." He said.

"Skipping right to the main attraction is never fun." Shadow smiled, lightly grabbing one of the panther's breasts and rubbing it gently, "You have to go start at the beggining." he smiled.
