"Well, if we're being charged for treason anyways," Talon grinned a bit, grabbing an object off his waist, "Duck and cover!" he shouted as he chucked it into the air directly above them all. He knew it was only a thermal clip, he never was good with grenades, but he was counting on one thing, the split second confusion it would cause in the people surrounding them as their attention was drawn to what would be seen as an immediate threat, "Gerris, Raddia keep them busy, everyone else cut a path!" he shouted as he spun, drawing out his pistol which was still loaded with his shredder ammunition and leveled it at the group that was standing infront of the doorway they'd made opening fire without hesitation on them.
Gerris finally snapped out of her confusion and bewilderment when Talon issued his command. She quickly looked up out of concern for the grenade but was quick to notice it was just a bluff. Still it was of benefit to them and it gave her easy targets to pick off. Gervis was too highly protected, plus killing him now wouldn't serve any cause, he would first have to answer for his crime... but right now she couldn't arrest him, there was no time.
Devising a quick tactic of her own, she nudged Raddia and silently nodded to their left, then she quickly took aim and picked off the guard directly to the asari's left side. That was Gerris's only sniper bullet, so she put her rifle away and then spread her arms, revealing her dual omniblades. She nodded to Raddia again while she held her warp orb.
Raddia nodded back at Gerris and hurled the orb of biotic energy at the guard in their way, the coat of energy twisted the molecular structure of his armor and weapon. So much for my hero speech idea. She then whistled for her varren companion to join them, knowing the soldiers would probably kill him as just another Krogan war beast otherwise.
The Varren jumped into battle standing beside Raddia snarling as it wanted to taste Turian meat.
Zevia was amazed that Talon's trick even worked as the thermal clip was thrown and all hell broke loose. The first attacks by the group would work, but the rest of the soldiers would soon be picking them off quickly.
"Shoot to Kill." Nila commanded the masked soldiers. "Take them down now!"
"Not so fast." Zevia said as she pulled out three flash gernades and tossed them at Grevis and Nila's group.
"Flash Grenades!" Grevis said as he and Nila took cover from the blinding blast. However the rest of the squad wasn't so lucky as their helmets sensors were overloaded leaving them unable to see.
With the soldiers stunned Zevia quickly approached Tafina's corpse. "I'm sorry you had to go like that." she silently whispered to herself as she took his hand and activated his omni-tool. "We'll make sure your word gets out." she finished as she downloaded all the data he had retrieved from the computer.
Gervis looked around the corner and growled "She's downloading the data. Kill her!" he commanded as some of the soldiers regained their sight and took aim at Zevia.
Gerris's first instinct when she saw Zevia chucking grenades was to duck and cover. "Damnit, hurry it up! Talon, get on that door, we need to bail!" Gerris yelled, then rolled over to the quarian, quickly taking out her Carnifex before unloading on the aiming guards, attempting to buy Zevia time as well as make herself a target.
"Come to think of it, you'd better add the Quarian Fleet to the governments that are going to want all of your heads." Raddia groaned, knowing that any attempt to make Grevis' flunkies listen to reason wasn't going to work now. Sighing, she focused on protecting Zevia, throwing a Warp and Throw combo at one of the guards, causing a Biotic Explosion to throw his nearby allies around as well.
"Working on it!" Talon shouted as he fired on the group near the exit, letting the rest of the team handling the ones behind him as he opened the pathway. "You guys aren't to bright, we managed to take down a Krogan while keeping him alive, you guys on the other hand, we don't need alive." he warned as one of his bullet's smashed through a soldier's visor, hitting him square between the eyes as Talon ran towards him, "Let's move people! Looks like they were kind enough to leave us a ship to borrow." he shouted as he grabbed some ammo off the fallen Turian, as well as the blast charges they used to blow the initial hole in the wall.
"Come on...." Zevia urged on the download as it hit 100% completion. "Got it. Let's move." she said to Raddia and Gerris as she pulled out her twin pistols. She set them to full auto fire and with a single trigger her guns screamed as they burnt through a 30 round thermal clip in seconds ripping the two turian's armor and flesh.
The rear hatch to it was still open with two more soldiers coming down the ramp firing upon the group. However, the Varren charged ahead of Talon and leap onto one of the soldier's biting hard onto his neck snapping it in one quick blow leaving only one as it turned to take aim at the animal.
But Gerris didn't want any more interruptions. As she dashed towards the ship she reared her fist back and after her omniblade appeared she stabbed the remaining guard through the throat, before round-house kicking him out of the way. "Get inside!" she shouted to Raddia and Zevia, reloading her hand cannon to provide cover fire.
Raddia ran towards Gerris in their getaway ship, giving a quick tap on the Varren to let him know to follow her on board. "Here! Let's get out of here before someone bombs this place or something." She reaches for her assault rifle, ready to give cover fire to help Zevia and Talon on their way to the ship.
