"Couple of stragglers we picked up on the way, they helped quite a bit with the mission though so was a welcome meeting." Talon glanced around a bit, not liking the aggressive display, "Should consider it lucky we even managed taking him alive, wasn't easy."
Raddia nodded, agreeing with Talon on that count. "Mmhhmm, we're lucky he had most of his troops away from the base at the time. No one to use all those weapons he had stockpiled in the warehouse." The asari glanced back at the fallen Krogan, surprised all that firepower only knocked him out. "We'd better get that armor off of him. He might have another gatling gun up his rump."
Gerris removed her visor and mask, her eyes glancing at the squad surrounding them. She found it curious considering the only true objective was Tritops. The salarian and quarian could be easily subjugated by aiming a couple guns at them, yet they had decided to round them all in one big circle.

It didn't take any genius to figure out something was out of place. She stood forwards and kept her calm as she said: "The objective is complete, General. The krogan will be unconscious for a couple of minutes, my disruptor round wasn't set to kill," she said, although she was surprised by the high amount of firepower needed to bring down 1 Battlemaster, the brutes continued to surprise her.

She stood next to Talon, she wanted to let him know of her suspicions, but she couldn't even whisper thanks to the tense, silent atmosphere. The units surrounding them were highly trained and stood there like statues but one could even imagine what they'd do if they saw any of them moved too close. The salarian's words continued eating at her, damaging her racial pride. Gerris lowered her head, she was about to assail higher command with questions if nobody said anything.
"Thank you Sergent Gerris and Talon. You've done well." he said as he commanded two of the soldiers to pick up the Krogan. "Get him ready for transport. I wish to interrogate him soon."
The two turians moved around Tritop and picked him up while another soldier retrieved his weaponry.

As Tritop was taken, the General turned to the stragglers, and approached them.

The Varren beside Raddia growled as Grevis walked close to him. Even to the point of showing his teeth.
"Silence that beast before I do it for you." Nila spoke as he pulled his pistol.

Gervis soon ignored the beast and walked up to Zevia. "Didn't expect a Quarian to be on Korlus. What is your reasoning for being here Miss..."

"Zevia Malontiva vas Neema, and I was forced to land due to a corrupted hyper link on my ship's engines. I was captured by the krogans while scavenging for parts." the quarian spoke sternly.

"Well Miss Vas Neema, the Quarians maybe neutral in this war, but it's not wise to land in a hot area such as Korlus." Grevis spoke as he studied her frame and two pistols that hung on her belt. "Especially armed...."

"General Gervis." Tafina spoke up causing the old Turian to look over. "I am Professor Tafina of the STG observation team of Korlus, and I have important information."
"STG? What is STG doing here?" Nilia spoke sharply but Gervis raised his hand quickly silencing him.

"Pardon my second in command, what sort of information?"

"Missing Genophage containers sent for deployment to Korlus. Did not reach destination, but have appeared to have been captured by Krogans and traded for weaponry."

Grevis glanced to Nila before approaching Tafina. "I was told by STG operations an investigation was on going. Who did the Krogan's traded it to? Do you know?"

"Suspect high ranking official in Turian special ops." Tafina said as his omni-tool glowed and displayed the records.

"That is a serious accusation, Professor." Gervis said as he approached one of the containers and pulled out a heavy duty shot gun. "Though these guns are the STX series....and look like prototypes. Not easy to acquire."

"If given more time I can analyze the data further and have concrete evidence of the person the Krogan were dealing with."

"That won't be necessary." Gervis said as he suddenly aimed the shotgun at Tafina's head and fired. The salarian's head exploded before his body slumped in a heap as green blood spurted from the now decapitated body.
Gerris listened intently to the conversation between the general and the others, meaning to get anything suspicious by reading between the lines if possible. She was so focused in it that she was taken by surprise when suddenly green blood splattered everywhere and the headless professor's corpse fell to the ground.

Her eyes bulged out, paralyzed from the shock. Even for a soldier with such bold hatred for the krogan she had never expected to see a display of carnage like this between allies. "He shot... he killed him. One of our allies, if this came out then the salarians will..." she looked back at Raddia then at Talon, her eyes darting back to their General as if expecting betrayal.
Talon glanced over towards Zevia, giving her a 'That's why I said to be quiet' kind of look. His second glance was towards Gerris, checking to see if she was keeping her cool, he gave her the slightest nod of his head, warning her to be ready as he looked back at the commander, "So, am I to assume this means you had something to do with this? Can't think of another reason why you'd want to silence the good doctor."
"Gervis..." Raddia gasped, watching the headless body of Tafina crumble into a heap on the ground. "This is treachery! The STG is allied with you and the Turian Fleet in this war!" The asari commando waited for an explanation, discreetly preparing a small Warp orb in her hand should he turn that shotgun on her. Though she had failed to keep her cool like her comrades, it wasn't a wild guess Gervis would turn on them next. Doubt he's going to let me fly back to Thessia with this information. What about Gerris and Talon though?
Grevis lowered the shot gun and handed it to Nila before looking at Gerris and Talon. "I'm afraid you overextended your mission, Sergent Talon, Gerris. You were ordered to capture Tritop not allow STG to have access to files. Due to the importance of the Turian people I have no choice." He signaled as the turian soldiers aimed their rifles at the group.

"You're all under arrest and charged with treason to the Turian Hierarchy, conspiracy with the enemy, and theft of military cargo, and also for the murder of Professor Tafina of the STG Investigation team to Korlus. You will throw your weapons to the ground and corporate or face lethal consequences." The men cocked their assault rifles.

"This is your only warning." Gervis said sternly looking at his two former pupils.

Gerris was angry and disappointed, but she couldn't find any witty remark, she was left speechless. Maybe if Tafina hadn't reviewed the facts for her before his ultimate demise, maybe if the seed of doubt hadn't been planted in her, she would have been beyond help right now. Her flaming patriotism for Palaven and her blind belief in the turian Hierarchy had her under the impression all that was being done was towards the cause of a peaceful galaxy.

She had been trained to deal with any threat to her people, to beat the information out of any mook attempting to undermine them, but Miraya Gerris had never been prepared to deal with corruption. And if she had not been doubting her loyalties until now she might've had a breakdown, nothing would've made sense, not that she could find any answer to what the hell was going on right now.

Gerris was stunned and her will was broken. But she wasn't going to go down without a fight. She reached back for her widow, arming it properly, reloading from her last fired bullet and prepared to to aim...
"Thank you for taking the words out of my mouth. I'm sure the Asari and Salarian governments will want a piece of you as well. Death of an allied operative, attempting to unfairly capture the operative of another allied race." Raddia looked to the other Turian soldiers and glared. "If you all are truly loyal to Palavan, then you won't allow Grevis to continue his treachery. You all saw him kill him in cold blood, or are you all beholden to a few credits over the Council? His crimes will extend to you. Your government, my government, and Tafina's government will want some answers...real answers." To be honest, the asari had no idea if her little speech would work, but she could only hope at least someone in that firing squad would break rank. Her Warp orb continued to secretly swirl in her hand, ready in case the others decided to make a break for it.
