John thought for a moment. "Malon..." Then he smiled. "Ah, yes, I am. Then you must be Mrs. Calftree. Well, this i's indeed a pleasant surprise. Yes, and I must say, your daughter i's an absolute joy to have in class. Never have I seen a more diligent student." When she asked if he wanted a drink, he said "Well, actually i sorta always look like this. Its been... A rather long time since ive been able to get a good nights sleep. Now that you mention it though, I am a bit thirsty. Say, I heard that your farm makes some of the best milk around. I's this true?" he asked.
"Sorry for coming in so early without an appointment, but well doctors for us are kind of hard to come by," Lupe grinned a bit, "Well Shaun ran into a bit of trouble last night, won't bore you with the long details but basically he got hit with a dart that actually contained wolfsbane," she opened her purse and held out the dart to the doctor, thankful that there had been two since Linda smashed one, "Ever since he hasn't been able to transform." she explained, "I know it's supposed to be only a temporary effect, but I've never heard of it being injected before. So we figured it would be safer to come to you."

Shaun fidgeted slightly on the table, he'd never been a huge fan of hospitals and knowing that he couldn't even change if he needed to only fueled his nervousness.
**Linda**

Linda smiled, "Indeed we do. I believe I have a bottle in the fridge. Excuse me." Linda left the room and poured a glass and in no time returned to hand it to John. "There you are. Hope you like it." she commented as she glanced at the time hoping Malon got to school alright.

**Landing**

"Hmmmm getting darted with wolfbane? Tsh tsh..." He suddenly changed into his true form. His head morphing into his kitsune form with a golden shine to his fur."Much better, well let's have a look at you. Open and say ah."
The doctor seemed to enjoy his work more then most people should as he would chuckle and giggle while looking at Shaun's tongue, checking his ears, and heart. He then pulled a tape measure and started to measure over Shaun. 10 mins passed and he turned to Shaun's medical chart. "Mmmm well Shaun this will take some hard medicine to break a direct dart of wolfbane." He turned to a draw and reached in. "What you need to cure this pesky effect is a healthy dose of....." With a single movement, the kitsune doctor pulled out a large needle that seemed to be the size of a house lamp. He pressed on the plunge and tapped the large cylinder clearing the bubbles in it. "Now this won't hurt that much my boy. Well then again I've never had a shot this big. Perhaps you should hold him Lupe? I know how Shaun can get jumpy." he chuckled.
"Thank you." he replied as he accepted the glass and slowly sipped it, enjoying the rich flavour. He had to be careful: this stuff was almost as bad as alcohol for him, without the drunken side effects. "Ah, refreshing. I do believe it matches claims quite nicely." he said half jokingly.
Shaun's eye twitched comically as he saw the syringe, almost as large as his own forearm, "Nonononononononononono!" He scrambled back along the examining table, his eyes deadlocked on the syringe.

"A-are you sure, that's necessary?" Lupe asked, the syringe looking like it was large enough to pierce clean through a human body, "That seems, slightly extreme."

"Oh shoot, I'm gonna be late for school!" Katt cursed a bit as she noticed the time, setting down her coffee as she rushed to her room, pulling out a quick outfit and getting dressed before rushing downstairs, now wearing a pair of short blue jeans and a pink tank top, and looked toward's Red, "Uhm, okay, uh, make yourself at home, I guess. Don't break anything, don't answer the door, and above all. Do. Not. Answer. The. Phone." She put strong emphasis on each word, she knew her mother would probably be calling sometime during the day and the last thing she needed was for her to think Katt was living with some random guy already, "I'll be back around three." she shouted as she ran out the door and towards school.
**Linda**

"We do our best." she said as she looked over Jewl watching her breath and sleep soundly. "Poor thing, if you like I can drive you two to your home after she wakes up? I have to meet a new worker coming to town, but that won't be for a little while."

**Landing**

The kitsune chuckled and placed the large needle down wiping a small tear from his eyes from his laughter. "Ohhhh sorry Shaun, as a Kitsune we can't help but play practical jokes once and a while." he said clearing his throat. "Seriously though your fine my boy. A direct injection to wolfbane does tend to block out the hormones that allow us to change, but it will work out of his system. Just drink lots of water and it'll vanish, but I would suggest you stay home as the wolfbane is acting like a gate for your wolf hormones. Once it wears off all that pent up hormones will flood you and well let's say you'll change into a wolf regardless if you want to or not. There are also a few other effects that may happen, but I'm sure you can handle them." he smiled rubbing Shaun's hair as he wrote a doctor's note handing it to Lupe. "Here you are, Shaun will need this to be excuse from his classes. Anything else I can do you two for? Perhaps Shaun would like a flea shot?" he grinned mischievously
OOC: pls bear wit me on some of the following: if all goes well, I should be outa here by noon tomorrow, so in trying to get my char into a statical position.

IC: John thought about her offer for a long time. "Actually, if you could give us a ride to the hospital, that would be even better. I'm hoping this i's only temporary, but quite honestly this i's way out of my sphere of knowledge, and if it gets worse or fails to get better, I think we would need professionals." I hope my old friend still works there. If he can find a way to help me outa a coma, he can help her.

OOC: ok, realizing that I could be gone b4 drake zero gets back, I am unveiling my current plan so that it may be carried out to the best of it's ability: my plan i's to get Jewl under hospital care (preferably via an "understanding" doctor), find a storage room or something dark and outa the way in the hospital, like a freezer or something, schlerate into a statue, and go from there.
"You sick twisted bast,"

"Thank you," Lupe quickly spoke up, "For the good news, we were afraid this might be more serious or at the worst permanent." She smiled as she stood up, "No that's all we needed for today, I promise Shaun's already had his flea dip for this month." she joked a bit, "Thanks again for the good news, we'd better hurry up, Shaun's already late for classes and I need to get to work." she explained as she took the note, handing it over to Shaun.

"Yeah, see ya later, ya crazy quack." Shaun whispered under his breath a bit as he followed his mom out to the car.

"Well that's good news, though I'm not sure how comfortable with the whole hormone flooding thing. You going through puberty once was bad enough." Lupe rubbed her head just remembering the headaches Shaun caused during his rambunctious pup age.

"So I change without wanting to, no big right? I'll recgonize the feeling and excuse myself before anyone knows what's going on." Shaun shrugged a bit, not worried about the side effects of the drug as he strapped in, "Knew you and Malon were just worrying too much."

"Well that's because we both care about you, neither of us liked seeing you get hurt." she smiled as she drove Shaun back to school.
**Linda**

"Uhm sure, let me get a my coat and the keys to one of the trucks." Linda said with a bit of concern. Something told her something was really wrong here, but felt it wasn't best to ask about it. Shortly she pulled the truck up and slowly helped John pick up Jewl. The two got into the cab with Jewl cradled in John's arms as Linda hit the pedal and drove off speeding to the Red Meadow Memorial Hospital.

**Landing**

The kitsune doctor laughed hearing Shaun's remarks as they left. He waved them good bye before returning to his office. He eyed his chair and grasped his hands together. "So where were we?" he chuckled.
OOC: ok, new npc to make this go quicker, were leaving now. Bya ev'rybody!

IC: When the arrived at the hospital, John would ask Linda to wait with Jewl in the truck for a moment while he went into the hospital. He wanted to make sure he found the doctor he wanted to look after her before taking her in.

Once inside, he was relieved to find the one he was looking for right there in front of him, chatting up one of the receptionists. He calmly walked up to him. "Derek Goodman?"

He turned around. "John? Hey, how's my favourite coma patient?" he joked.

"Been better. Look," he stepped a bit closer. "I need your help" he said quietly "can I still trust you?"

"Of course" he replied, now very serious and concerned. "What's up?"

"Follow me and you'll see." he replied, leaving towards Linda's truck with Derek in tow.

When they got there, John would briefly introduce Derek to Linda, then show Derek his daughter. Derek would look more surprised than anything else, but he helped John carry Jewl back into the hospital. John would thank Lindafor all her help as they did.

Soon Jewl was inside an ICU, receiving treatment and under surveillance. "How i's she doing?" John asked Derek.

"A hell of a lot better than you were when you were in there." he said. "We've started giving her ver small doses of aconitum, as you suggested, prepared very thoroughly to your directions. So... how i's she your daughter? All our tests suggested you were sterile."

"She said she was adopted." he replied.

"'She said'?" he asked, more than a little skeptical.

John sighed. "Look, normally I'd be more than happy to satisfy your curiosity, but right now i's not a good time. I's there a place I can hide? A place nobody ever goes or would look?"

Derek looked taken aback for a second, then thought for a few moments. "There's only one ace I can think of that nobody ever goes or looks, but you may not like it."

"Try me." John replied.

*A few minutes later* "The incinerator?"

"I told you you wouldn't like it." Derek stated.

John thought for a moment. Nobody would ever think to look here, the flames would be too bright for anybody to see me, it's sterile so I won't have to worry about infection, and best of all, it's warm! "No, No, this should actual be perfect." he looked at Derek, already beginning to start hardening his skin. "Make sure to tell no one except Jewl where I am or that I'm even in the building."

"Hey, I didn't show anybody any of your medical info, why would I ... Start ... Now..." he trailed off, seeing John's schlartions forming in the areas not covered by clothes, which John promptly began to remove. "I'll hang on to those for you." he said.

John nodded and opened the door to the incinerator. "When she wakes up she'll likely have a fit or something; tell here I told you to give her this" he reached into his pocket and pulled out the juicer "she'll know what it means. if she wakes up before i do, you come get me immediately." he paused. "Thanks for everything, you have no idea what this means to me." he said, as he steeped through the door and into the blaze.

Derek watched as John entered the inferno. "Nor you to me." he then left to find a safe place for his belongings.

His carapace was just enough to keep him from oxidizing, and he hoped he would get himself out before he started cooking. The area inside was actually quite large, and he found a corner in the back that was out of direct sight of the doorway. He sat down, legs crossed, backs straight (there was nothing worse than being in bad posture for hours on end when you can't move), and allowed his skin to harden the full way, making him effectively a statue -- statue, yes, that was much more accurate than chrysalis, why had he not thought of that before? With that, he let his mind go blank, and slipped away from the world around him.

OOC: see ya in august, folks!
