"Well," Jewl started to say. "They come and go, and they normally dont last long...but sometimes I can have them for days at a time. I have at least one or two every week or so normally, but I learned to deal with it. When Im OK I gather enough food and water for when Im sick, that way I dont have to do a lot of work." Jewl didnt seem to think this was strange at all, and why would she? It had been three years of this after all.
"Hmm," John replied, studying her critically. By definition a fever i's never a good sign... And something about that rings a bell set to alarm in my head... But she doesn't seem to concerned with it. "You're probably right. It's probably nothing." he said, turning back away from her. "Get some rest. We've a lot to do tomorrow."
She nods and tucks herself into her cot, and is soon asleep. The fever seems to get pretty bad during the night, her face becoming red and sweaty, causing her to gasp and groan as well, but it goes away sometime after midnight.
John watches her for a while, worried as he watches the fever build, sighing with relief when it finally started to subside, all the while thinking: Flu? No, she says this has been going on for a while now. Diet? Possible, but if she's lived this long, she must know what i's and i's not safe to eat by now. Stress induced? Hmm, well that would be the most likely culprit, I think; father up and missing for three years, now this; I'd be slightly more worried if her systems didn't have some sort of adverse reaction. at one point he tried to get to sleep, but as usual the nightmares were there, waiting for him:

A dark night. No clouds, no stars: just the moon. A women far below. Cries heard, shouts. Panic. Fear. Rage. Anger. Lust. The women again, fear painted on her face, Theb suddenly, replaced by pain and suffering. And a sound, a dreaded sound, a scream, like the judgement bell's call to damnation itself. A reflection, the pupils in the eyes of which are so dismayed they almost completely block out the grey-blue irises.
Almost.

John awoke in a cold sweat. He looked quickly over to Jewl; he was pretty sure she still slept, but he didn't really look too hard. He went over to the nearest window, looking up to the moon. A whole hour. Damn, new record. he went to the door, opening it as silently as he could, then closed it equally as silently. The cool night air was refreshing on his nerves. He remembered seeing a pond before, so he decided to head down that way to splash some water on his face, the scream still echoing in his ears. After having done that, he returned to the cabin, very carefully, began to climb the living wall of the cabin.

When he made it to the top of the roof, he sat down, and pulled out his locket. When he looked at it, it seemed to glow ever so slightly, but he dismissed this as a reflection of the light from the moon or stars. Once again, he applied just the right amount of pressure in the right spot, and *click* the locket popped open. John stared at the picture for a while. The subject was female, infect it was the same woman from his nightmare; maybe late twenties early thirties, tops, had deep brown shoulder length hair, and had eyes that seemed to be mesmerizing. It was the eyes he was looking at now; there was now doubt about it, they were exactly the same as Jewl's. There were other things; the set of the face, the general look, but one thing was absolutely crystal clear: this woman was Jewl's mother.
OOC: Sorry, must have missed that detail. I assumed that our characters were just leaving the meeting area, Mar.

The werevixen blushed lightly upon feeling his powerful body before she replied, "Naturally, I do like to keep in shape. Mmmm, I see you do as well." She giggled lightly before getting up close to him and whispering, "And oh, you wish to join me. Naughty boy, I barely know you, heheh." Ada smirked a little before she headed off for the girl's locker room without really saying yes or no.
Jewl slept soundly for a time, bit when she heard the creaking of the old roof she opened her eyes a little. "Father?" She groaned softly, looking around. When she couldnt find him she panicked a little before realizing that it was probably him on the roof. She went outside and climbed up as well. "Father?" She said, walking over next to him and sitting down. "What are you doing up here?" She still had a little of the fever left but she seemed to have made a miraculous recovery.
"Alright then, I like keeping in shape, so let's get some exercise done, vixen," the dragon thought, then slipped by, following the canine female to the changing rooms. He went in without drawing much attention to himself, after all, everybody was busy doing something else, or chatting with each other to notice someone going to the changing rooms yet again.

"I was thinking..." the large dragon's white muzzle suddenly appeared above Ada's shoulder, his fanged maw moving smoothly as he spoke, "We might as well try and get to know each other better, mrr?" he seductively murred, then boldly put his hands on her waist, running them down on Ada's wide hips. "What do you say?" he narrowed his eyes in a predatory way.

Yukiko blushed a bit more, "Uhm, not that big. But over two dozen, for sure," she said, using her fingers to do the maths quickly, looking like it was a very natural thing to say. She then turned to Minos and looked like she was blinking, "Oh. Dear Hakuron's such a busy man... I'm sure he'll be back by tomorrow. It's a shame he couldn't make it here. You're a very impressive man, Minos, being able to hold such a concurred event. You and he would get along so well!" she smiled.

"Mmm, don't take long!" Delphi said from a warm and relatively secluded corner. Tifa soon yanked her arm.

"Hey, don't get any ideas. He's not from our school," the white cat told her twin, who pouted.

"Aw, but he's a cute tiger. And he's big too! Mm, maybe not as big as Mar but... meow," she purred. Tifa shook her again.

"Lisa wouldn't forgive us if she knew we were hanging out with him. We must be subtle about this..."

"Lisa wouldn't forgive us if she knew we were fucking Mar, either," Delphi retorted with a frown, sitting down on the edge of the rocky ground, dipping her legs on the water, "Hmm, plus, he's cute."

Tifa rolled her eyes, "Is that all you got to say? True, this guy's nice, but he's from a rival school. We can't just blurt it out, okay? Just wanted to make sure," she finished whispering, then sat across her black furred sister, making sure to keep her hair straight, as well as an appetizing cleavage with her wrapped towel.
John smiled as he heard Jewl approach, shutting the locket and putting it back around his neck. "Not much. Did you sleep well? Are you feeling better?"
"Im feeling better, yes..." She said, looking up at the moon. "You used to come up here to look at the stars...You would say that normal people need telescopes, but with a clear night sky and no light pollution, you could see the stars and the moon as though you were looking through two telescopes." Her voice was soft as she spoke, still looking up at the moon, leaning against him as she did.
John Looked towards her. "You never found that odd? That I could see things no "normal" person could, that you never could?" he asked. "Were you really so surprised when I changed?"
