Shaun shrugged a bit, "Never really thought much about joining a sport's team, basketball doesn't sound too bad though. Who knows maybe I'll check it out sometime, see what the team's like and if I'd enjoy it." He thought aloud, "Who knows, might be fun." He had thought about joining sports before, mostly football, but unfortunatley due to his were heritage he was slightly stronger physically than most kids his age and build and always felt like it would be an unfair advantage, though basketball was mostly about speed and teamwork, which meant he wouldn't need to worry about that.

Katthrine had a slightly mischievous smile on her face, "Sounds like we're thinking on the same wavelength." she winked, "Want to head back and see just what their 'discussion' is about?" She smiled.
Stephen couldn't regain his balance as he fell down and hit his head on an exposed root. He shook his head and saw that his attack hadn't crippled the monster. He started to get up as Mar started to look like he was about to strike again. He hard the scream of a young girl and looked over she looked like she lived in the wilderness. Then saw Mar running towards her. He was going to follow him; but he had to help the girl with her father. He quickly got up ran after Mar and the girl. When he got over to them he smiled at the girl friendly like, "Hey I know first aid as well," he stated.

Then he looked at Mar with still the desire to the kill him, "What I need you to do is get on your cell phone if you got one and call 911. Tell them were we are and Let them know we aren't sure what is going on ourselves," he ordered taking charge of the situation.

Stephen turned back to Jewl, "Now I need you to take us back to your dad so I can help determine how hurt he is and might be able to help him," he said with a reassuring smile.
Jewl saw the two men rushing over, having seen them fighting just a few seconds ago. She would normally have asked why they were fighting, but her father was in possible danger. "He is in here, he doesnt seem to recognize me, and he screamed and grabbed his head before passing out. I dont know whats wrong with him..." Tears pooled in her bright green eyes as she stared at her foster father's motionless body. "I...I just found him...I dont want to lose him again." she said softly, her sorrow evident in her voice.
"why not?" he said "let's just hope they don't get mad" he added not wanting to lose one of the only few friends he had at this new school and town.
"It's okay, calm down," said Mar as he put a hand over Jewl's shoulder and patted it. "Just show us the way to your dad."

Stephen's idea made sense, but only if they managed to determine they couldn't do anything by themselves. "We'll call once we know what's wrong. Maybe it's something we can treat here," he said, and nodded towards Jewl, "Let's see about him."

(Cafeteria)

Mia listened on as she ate and then she lifted one of the plastic forks with a grin, "I'll cheer for you if you join!" she giggled, making a motion with her hand as if she was holding a pompom, "But if you're not used to sports, maybe you should as well give up. I heard the new Captain is very picky about his team-mates!" she said.
"I'm sure it'll be fine, come on," Katthrine said as she grabbed onto Alex's arm and pulled him along as she left the building near where they had last seen Mar and Raziel. She looked around the area infront of them, "Shoot, which way did they go?" she wondered aloud.

"Hehe, don't let the glasses fool ya," Shaun smiled as he adjusted his glasses, "I'm not bad at sports and tougher than I look. Don't see why I wouldn't be able to make it onto the team."
"uhhh..." he said looking around "that way?" he said pointing in a random direction
"Alright then, if you join the basketball team, I'll join the cheer leading squad." she smiled finishing up one of her hot dogs. "It'll be fun to try out again." she smiled thinking Shaun wouldn't be interested in joining the team as he preferred naps at most times.
"Hmm," Katthrine scratched at her chin a bit, then took in a deep breath, "MARRRRRR! WHERE ARE YOU!!!" She suddenly hollered, hoping he was still without hearing distance.

Shaun chuckled a bit, "Yeah, though if what Mia said's true, odds are I won't be making it onto the team anytime soon. Probably won't even really give me a shot at a tryout." He shrugged, not really caring much if that turned out to be the case.
John's mind raced despite his condition. No, not here again! John screamed in the recesses of his mind. Ok, gotta keep calm; I can't let myself be trapped here like last time. Where he was -- if where could even describe it -- everywhere was blackness. No, that's not correct: darkness would be much more accurate. this wasn't simply a coating or combination of colours: thus was complete and utter void. He was here before; he now longer knew why he had been here; that was the price he paid to retain what thin shred of sanity he had left in this endless nothingness. Keeping all of his thought would have sent him over the brink. How do I know these things? no doubt that would be key in his figuring any of this out. Well, while I'm here, I might as well try to figure this whole thing out.

OOC: if John isn't "brought back" by somebody else, he should "wake up" within about an hour or so
