I say, let him keep the gold. If he wants to be a selfish bastard, let him be. However, when he isn't looking and has his back turned to you, shoot him in the leg with an arrow (I'm assuming you use such things, being part Ranger) and tell him that for the minor fee of 300 gold per limb, you won't shoot the others. I know that comes to 900 and not 800, but why worry about those little details?
