That rant was very rant-y, it trailed off constantly.
To be quite honest, I couldn't care less about your marriage gripe, but I suppose I could give you my data.
From what I've gathered, love isn't friendship or any of the things you dislike hearing, love is about sacrificing yourself for another. Whether out of friendship or the need for his / her genes. (because that really is the point of our brain causing love, so we can pass on desirable genes)
As for your God theory, I agree, but which God?
