Does anyone on here use Avast? My boss recommended it to me, but I'm suspicious of free virus protectors, so if anyone on here uses it, please tell me if it's for real.

I use Avast. It's pretty damned good actualy. It's boot-up scan found all kinds of crap o.o;

I prefer AVG myself, but that's because I use it in all the computers I've got.

Hey Calibre, when you downloaded it, did a little icon (blinks between a mine and a ! in a yellow triangle). It's for something called Virus Busters and I really don't like it. Do you know how to get rid of it?

its most likely fake. get Ad-Aware and remove it. Ad-Aware is like, the best anti-spyware out there. i use it on my PC and my laptop.

I use it. It's annoying but it works.

Or, you know, you could actually BUY some AV protection...

AVG is the best there IMO.

cboy, whatcha got is a an antispyware spware ><; They're damned near impossible to get rid of, but they're entirely harmless. Just annoying.
