It's because there's no need for there to be THREE different pay sites with three separate subscription fees. Not to mention there's only ONE good artist, and the rest of them draw like they're holding the pencil with their butt-cheeks, checking their work with a mirror, and they don't actually know what the character looks like in the first place.

Now that I'm looking at it, it might not be the artist. There seems to be an awkwardness about some of the pictures, while other pictures seem spot on.
For example, these two non-pay site pictures that were released about the same time as the pay site:

And then this one, which I think was drawn BEFORE the one above:

I'm curious if anyone else notices the difference, or if I'm just imagining that half of the pal content is shit.

So you just think it's somewhat lazy or just that they could try harder at times?

All I'm saying is that the quality of the artwork is really inconsistent and most of it REALLY isn't worth paying for once, let alone paying for it every month.

That's why you do this: pay for only one month, go in, download everything you can, and get the hell out. If something else arises, wait half a year to a full year, and then go back in and repeat.
They also sell CDs now. You can also buy those instead.

I don't have a problem with pay-sites or paying for artwork in particular, I'm trying to say the artwork isn't worth paying every month for. You could charge me five dollars for a cow pat or charge me a hundred dollars for a cow pat, but at the end of the day you're still trying to sell me shit. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a lot of quality work to get access to, but as of right now there isn't.
