I know what they were trying to do...but doing that to young children, especially after what happened in Virginia, is just wrong.  There are plenty of other ways (and better ways) to educate grade schoolers on what to do in those situations.

Wow, I don't know what the heck they were thinking by doing that. Other than scaring the crud out of little kids, which I admit is usually funny, this doesn't seem like it served any purpose. Well other than proving that teachers are assholes, but I'm sure they already knew that.

I always find these drills interesting. What happens if someone does something a little dynamic, being scared and all, by breaking and jumping out a window? Hey, granted, it is a drill, but they don't know that. The only reason why it doesn't happen when fire alarms go off is people assume it is either a drill or some idiot that pulled the alarm than a real emergency.
