The ring went right through Skye and her body disappeared along with the ring. "Oh I'm gonna have a lot of fun with you, wolf," her disembodied voice rang out through the air. "I've always hated myself for letting you and your sister live after I torched your stupid village." She laughed.

Vance appeared right next to Solia. "Hey, cutie," he sneered and slashed at her.

She dodged him and chanted, "Quercus, propinquo meus adservio." The tree started moving very slightly. Then, without warning, a tree branch came down and swatted Vance away. He got back up immediately.

"You're going to pay for that," he growled.

"Behind you..." Skye whispered as she appeared behind Faiz and kicked him in the back.

(Conscendo: Casino)

"You got it, dear," the dealer said. "21! That's triple your original bet. Now, do you wish to go another round. You seem pretty good at this." The dealer smiled.

"I think you might be able to win more," Ardeal urged. "But only bet what you're comfortable with, and don't continue unless you're sure."

(Conscendo: Skies)

Quarry had mounted his giant fan and was heading to the north part of town in search for those assassins. He couldn't let the queen's minions get away. He didn't even notice a robed figure leaping amongst the buildings in the same direction.

Faiz don't have enough time to dodge and being hit to the ground, but able to land safely on all fours and flip backwards before standing up. Without waiting much time, he charge again but this time, the ground is full with shockwave so he able to do lightning strike from both side; sky and ground. "That would be good, so I can take a revenge..."

(Conscendo: Casino)

Mika grab the reward and let the small amount of coin for Small bet. "Okay, but for this time it will be the last one, since the day is getting dark. Kindly draw the card, please."

Vance slashed at Solia again, and she dodged. "Inflecto!" Vance shouted. He disappeared and reappeared behind Solia. Before she could react, Vance struck her in the back with the end of his scythe and quickly slashed her back leaving a pretty bad cut. She fell on the ground, bleeding.

"R-rememdium," she managed to get out. The cut stopped bleeding and even healed up a bit, but she couldn't get up when she tried.

"Severitas," Vance said. Solia tried to get up again, but a black ball of gravity was holding her against the ground.

"You'll have to do better than that, you beast," Skye's voice whispered in Faiz's ear, even though she was supposedly a few feet away. "I'm in your head now, Faiz, dear, and you'll be mine forever," she cackled, the laughter never fading from the thick air. "Hit me with everything you've got!"

(Conscendo: Casino)

"Awww, you're not much of a risk-taker are you?" the dealer asked and frowned. "Oh well, here's your cards." He dealt the face-down card and a face-up ace of spades.

"That'll give you the upper hand," Ardeal commented.

He landed on the ground with full of shockwaves and growled loudly. "You are a chicken...coward..." Faiz spotted his lover is in danger. By pointing his finger far to Vance's neck, he flow the wave of electricity on the ground and strike Vance from his feet up to his neck, paralyzing his main nerves which hold Vance for half an hour.

Faiz try to calm his anger by taking a deep breath. A light-dark clouds slowly appear on the sky on top of his head with full of static shockwave. "...Come out now, chicken...Or you don't want my thunder power paralyzing you completely..." A flows of electricity travelling from the ground to his claws, waiting for Skye's reply to track her voice.

"Ace....Can be as 1 or 11..." Mika thought for a while either she wants to pick up the face-down card or not. After settling up, she said. "Hit me." She feel confident the face-down card either 6 for 1 Ace or 3 for 11 Ace.

"I'm no coward, Faiz," Skye growled from all directions. "I'm the Mistress of Illusion." She laughed and the image of Vance that was hit by lightning disappeared along with Solia and the tree and everything else. All of it melted away and transformed until Faiz was standing in the middle of his destroyed village. "Welcome home, Faiz," a female vixen said as she came out of a nearby building. I can't believe you're back already. You look fantastic. I must admit I was worried when you said you and Mika were going off independently, but I'm so relieved to see you." The vixen smiled. "The orphans are doing well, too. Would you like to see them? I'm sure they want to see their big brother."

(Giant Oak Tree)

Vance raised his scythe to slash at Solia, but was immediately knocked aside like...a piece of garbage? Vance immediately stood up to find himself face to face with the other robed man who had his hood up. His creepy sword was drawn.

"You'd really attack a defenseless young lady?" the man asked quizzically, a slightly mocking tone in his gruff voice.

Vance growled.

"I'm not defenseless," Solia said, a little annoyed. The tree seemed to shake in agreement.

(Conscendo: Casino)

The dealer dealt another card. "There you go, a 5 of hearts." He waited for Mika to make her next move. This particular game had attracted a small crowd.

In an instant, Faiz stunt for a while and withdraw all his power as he saw his guardian standing in front of him. "...Ms. Cathy..." He admit he really wants to return back to his village and help his guardian to drop a visit, but the time and distance forbids him to do so. Without hesitate, Faiz follows the female vixen to her home. "...I'm sorry...for not coming here...all this while..."

(Conscendo: Casino)

Mika put both claws under her chin while looking sharply to her cards. "Ace...1 or 11 plus 5 hearts...The face-down card can be 6 or 3..." She thought for a while and nodded. "Freeze. Adreal, could you show the face-down card?"

The vixen marched back to the building where she had emerged from. Inside, there were quite a few children playing. She laughed. "Yeah, I've adopted a few more since you left with your sister. There will always be orphans who need me. Children!" They all stopped. "Say hello to brother Faiz."

"Hello Brother Faiz," they all said in unison with their cute little voices.

"They miss you a lot, and I miss you, but I know you've got your own life to live. I knew it would be the case the moment I adopted you and Mika." The vixen gazed over the children, keeping a watchful eye on them to make sure they didn't get in trouble.

(Giant Oak Tree)

Vance slashed with his scythe but missed the man who counterattacked with a quick flurry of thrusts. Vance managed to dodge most of them, but he got tired and the last few stuck him. Blood soaked through his robes. "Agh!" he gasped and stumbled back. "Severitas," he coughed.

"Oblittero," Solia chanted. The spell was instantly canceled allowing the robed man enough time to stab Vance through the heart with his sword.

Faiz seems didn't believe of what he saw. Everything looks real to him; his guardian and the cheerful expression of the children. He didn't remember the last time himself and Mika visit their guardian and thought the female vixen had passed away due to age.

Then, he take a seat near the children and pat one of the children's head. Yes, it was real. "...That's okay, Ms. Cathy...It's our decision to live independently...and don't want to burden you anymore..." Faiz said softly while smiling to the children.

Violent coughing came from the upstairs room. "Oh, I'm sorry," Cathy apologized. "One of the children is very sick. I'll go check on him right now." The vixen ran up the stairs fairly quickly, leaving Faiz on the bottom floor.

In a few minutes, a loud noise came from upstairs and Cathy came tumbling down the steps, her neck broken, her dead eyes gazing helplessly and lifelessly at Faiz. A roar came from upstairs.

Ardeal lifted the card. He gasped in astonishment. It was the 5 of diamonds.

The dealer calculated. "An ace, a 5 of hearts, and a 5 of diamonds," the dealer stated. "21. I guess you did it again. Lady Luck must be keeping watch over you. Here's your winnings." The dealer handed her triple the amount she betted in the first place, for the second time that day.

Once Cathy returned, Faiz was stunned like a blade stab his heart as saw his guardian in such a worse condition. "Ms. Cathy!" He yelled, quickly lifts Cathy on his arms. "What happened? Tell me, Ms. Cathy!"

"Yay!" Mika cheered happily as grab another reward. "We're pretty lucky today! Thank you for such a great game, sir." She thanked while bowing her head.
