I'm going to be harsh here, but I'm a published poet,

so anything I say can be taken as constructive.
I'm not a fan of stream of consciousness poetry. This poem is an example of why I'm not a fan. Your words are redundant. Your thoughts recirculate. You don't bother with a thesaurus, because it's all what was on your mind. If you could start to think with a larger vocabulary, you could solve a lot of your redundancies while still writing stream of consciousness. Maybe the key to writing stream of consciousness poetry is to not linger on one thought for too long. Personally, I don't write stream of consciousness poetry. I usually write formal poetry, and I plan out what I want to say. Then I think about how I want to say it. Then I go back and edit it. I takes a lot longer to write poetry that way, but the finished product looks and sounds a whole lot better. I've been told by the other students in my creative writing class that I'm in a league of my own; there's no easy way to get there.
