OOC: ok, new npc to make this go quicker, were leaving now. Bya ev'rybody!
IC: When the arrived at the hospital, John would ask Linda to wait with Jewl in the truck for a moment while he went into the hospital. He wanted to make sure he found the doctor he wanted to look after her before taking her in.
Once inside, he was relieved to find the one he was looking for right there in front of him, chatting up one of the receptionists. He calmly walked up to him. "Derek Goodman?"
He turned around. "John? Hey, how's my favourite coma patient?" he joked.
"Been better. Look," he stepped a bit closer. "I need your help" he said quietly "can I still trust you?"
"Of course" he replied, now very serious and concerned. "What's up?"
"Follow me and you'll see." he replied, leaving towards Linda's truck with Derek in tow.
When they got there, John would briefly introduce Derek to Linda, then show Derek his daughter. Derek would look more surprised than anything else, but he helped John carry Jewl back into the hospital. John would thank Lindafor all her help as they did.
Soon Jewl was inside an ICU, receiving treatment and under surveillance. "How i's she doing?" John asked Derek.
"A hell of a lot better than you were when you were in there." he said. "We've started giving her ver small doses of aconitum, as you suggested, prepared very thoroughly to your directions. So... how i's she your daughter? All our tests suggested you were sterile."
"She said she was adopted." he replied.
"'She said'?" he asked, more than a little skeptical.
John sighed. "Look, normally I'd be more than happy to satisfy your curiosity, but right now i's not a good time. I's there a place I can hide? A place nobody ever goes or would look?"
Derek looked taken aback for a second, then thought for a few moments. "There's only one ace I can think of that nobody ever goes or looks, but you may not like it."
"Try me." John replied.
*A few minutes later* "The incinerator?"
"I told you you wouldn't like it." Derek stated.
John thought for a moment. Nobody would ever think to look here, the flames would be too bright for anybody to see me, it's sterile so I won't have to worry about infection, and best of all, it's warm! "No, No, this should actual be perfect." he looked at Derek, already beginning to start hardening his skin. "Make sure to tell no one except Jewl where I am or that I'm even in the building."
"Hey, I didn't show anybody any of your medical info, why would I ... Start ... Now..." he trailed off, seeing John's schlartions forming in the areas not covered by clothes, which John promptly began to remove. "I'll hang on to those for you." he said.
John nodded and opened the door to the incinerator. "When she wakes up she'll likely have a fit or something; tell here I told you to give her this" he reached into his pocket and pulled out the juicer "she'll know what it means. if she wakes up before i do, you come get me immediately." he paused. "Thanks for everything, you have no idea what this means to me." he said, as he steeped through the door and into the blaze.
Derek watched as John entered the inferno. "Nor you to me." he then left to find a safe place for his belongings.
His carapace was just enough to keep him from oxidizing, and he hoped he would get himself out before he started cooking. The area inside was actually quite large, and he found a corner in the back that was out of direct sight of the doorway. He sat down, legs crossed, backs straight (there was nothing worse than being in bad posture for hours on end when you can't move), and allowed his skin to harden the full way, making him effectively a statue -- statue, yes, that was much more accurate than chrysalis, why had he not thought of that before? With that, he let his mind go blank, and slipped away from the world around him.
OOC: see ya in august, folks!

The most dangerous phrase ever uttered in all of minecraftia: "/give honeydew 46 64"
Imaginato disciplinis cognoscere modum; sciam quid et ingenii?
My learning and imagination know no bounds; why should my knowledge and abilities?
Alchemy: [from the Moon to] Scorpio to man to eagle to the phoenix (female) [to the sun] back to Her consciousness outside the box she created.
