Wrong. I thought the appendix was used for digesting the cellulose and other hard-to-digest materials in plants, but as we avoided eating things like tree bark, the appendix became useless. We still have an appendix, even though it's weak and can't function the way it used to. That's why we have digesting things that are REALLY high in fiber along with other things. Mostly things with cellulose.
