Ah social problems eh? I wouldn't pay much attention to your mother if i were you, she doesn't sound like a particularly good role model (sounds harsh i know but i don't remember you ever mentioning she cares for your future or health).
One thing you can do is simple ignorance; ignore her hurtful jokes, her obsession with religion, her alcoholic ways. Respond with simple politeness like "Yes i see your point, however i don't think religion is going to help me get a job, unless i have a sudden urge to become a priest". Keep remarks about others inside until all those who are likely to tell her are out of earshot.
The teenage life is probably the hardest man and i know what you're going through...but it'll get better i'm sure. Also, have an early 'Happy Birthday' on me.
