Okay- okay.
I loved Titanic because it wasn't a boring rudimentary educational trip like the Discovery Channel, in fact, it focused more on the romantic and taboo love between a street-smart, poor, yet charming young man (Jack- wonderfully portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio) and an aristocratic, spoiled, wife-to-be (Rose- acted out by the talented Kate Winslet). Their relationship started off rough, and eventually smoothened out enough for Rose to abandon her fiance, and make sweet love to the man she truly loved, even allowing him to make a sketch of her. I simply loved the way the movie portrayed these two as the possible cause of the Titanic's tragic fate, as two of the crew members were watching them other than looking out for icebergs.
The movie had a breath-taking soundtrack, and wonderful special effects. All in all, a "not too bad" movie.
Arguing about "it might not even be the right ship" and whether Jack and Rose were even ever actually on the Titanic is almost identical to the "Cross Media bitching pisses me off." thread. This a movie, not a book, and of course, not an actual biography. It was simply another romance/etc-classed movie that was BASED on the actual event.
Are you happy?
