I just finished Megaman zero 4, and megaman exe 6. And now I'm angry at capcom, first they destroy megaman legends which was a pretty good game, then the original megaman dies out, then megaman X, AND NOW THEY OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE THE END OF THE EXE SERIES (Which has been my second favorite of all megamans), AND THEY FINISH THE ZERO SERIES (My current favorite) WITH...
*MAJOR SPOILER*

They're robots. They can be rebuilt.

To hell with all these old games. I never saw the appeal behind playing Mario, or Zelda, or Megaman, or any of that. I'll take the graphics-intensive, multiplayer online shooters anyday. The total number of pixels on the the entire screen of Megaman at any given moment is probably about equal to the amount in one character model in my games :).

I still have to get Greiga on my claws... but don't worry, this won't be the end; I'm sure of it, and it's because there always are plot twists. Not to mention MegaMan Zero 4 still has an open ending in which we'll have an oportunity for Zero 5 to come again.

I'm sure they'll be another series. I'm pretty sure EXE did a good job of keeping Mega Man up with the times, but only time will tell.
Remeber, these things must have an end; otherwise, they run the high risk of being terrible. An old must end, so a new may begin.

I know games should die before getting repetetive (That kinda struck the megaman series around the second game though) but they finished the BN games right when they had finally perfected the controls and with Zero they hadn't even explained any of the story that they've been forshadowing since megaman X 4! How can they make a game where they hint that the main characters best friend is gonna go postal and destroy the human race and then just skip the entire part!? In the Zero games they're constantly talking about a bunch of wars that never happened (from the players perspective), it's like reading a 3 part book series but skipping the second book. That's what angers me the most.

I think the maverick wars had to do with the original X series when the were stopping the robots that went 'Maverick'
