The screenshots look promising, but I agree with Anonmon. Encaging your partners is a bad way to start a relationship. Pokemon style Digimon of Season 5 isn't nearly as good as Power Rangers style of Digimon of Season 4, where nobody needed to start a relationship with anyone. Even Zoe got shot down by Takuya.

The digimon can talk to their partners. As heard with lalamon and yoshino on the raw.
I'm more concerned with the animation itself. It just doesn't have the traditional look that we've all come to expect from digimon after watching four seasons of it. I'll still probably love it anyway but the look will always bother me. As for the pokemon-related thing, yeah it is a rip off, no doubt about that. But before I got into digimon I was into pokemon and noticed how despite them being in a ball most of the time, they still managed to have strong relationships with their trainers, well most of them anyway.
Then there's two more issues I have to bring up. First is the voices. I have not seen the first raw episode yet so this is not in relation to that. Instead my concern is with whoever does the dub voices. I pray and pray and pray some more that the voices will not be stupid or whatnot. I've seen some horrible Japanese to English dubbing before, most noteably the hentai movies. But then again whoever owns digimon now hasn't dissapointed us with the previous seasons with the voices.
The fact that things are edited out is a whole another issue. Also is the timeline. It premiered in Japan already according to TheDigiPort so god only knows when it'll be dubbed. I want digimon now! Having new running seasons brings up writing morale plus I can't get enough of the series. I liked all four of them although I do have preferences to which ones are better. No matter the case, digimon's popularity in my opinion is low and hopefully with the arrival of a new season everyone, whether they be an 8 year old kid or adults like us will get into it once again.

Based on the history of Digimon and partner bonding, I doubt we'll see the Digimon stored in the Digivices too often. I think it will only be used when most logical, traveling in small automobiles, things like that...also I thinks it's important that they can communicate still while in the Digivice, it has also not been shown whether the Digimon can come out of the Digivice as the wish.

Maybe it is more of a link between the partner and the digimon allowing the digimon to be summoned from another physical place than a storage unit per se.

So far the only one to be in one is raramon. the chessmon are working with their humans while the leader satsuma has a kudamon who sits on his shoulder. Plus there was another digimon working around DATS. So it's not like pokemon. They can still talk and everything.

I can see it now:
Masaru (I think that's what someone said his name was?): You okay in there?
Agumon: I can't feel my legs.

You right about the name but possibly. Let's see if the other guy has his digimon in one when he shows up.

If the Digimon are stored in those things, then I agree with Anonmon, and it will be the last series we'll see of them. Then the only reason for me to look at it will be seeing Gaomon.
