No that's darn Wise. He's honest and logical. And that's a very logical answer.
Have you tried doing some kind of independent job? Like, cutting the grass, or something? Not the best thing but hey, just to keep you for a while. In Buenos Aires, being a peddler can keep you, but I don't know if it's so in your city.
Hey....how about asking Jon Bon Jovi for some cash? He sure has a lot and he's in your vicinity.
hope you get a job soon enough gabu.

oh just realized about your sig zephyr I don't like Pinochet that much either =S he is a tad crazy and corrupt.
Isn't that guy credited for modernizing Chile though and improving the economy. Or am I wrong there.
Wow thank you but if you guys wish to talk about that topic there is a thread open for that in the General chat section.

I might take Wisemon's advice but the only problem is I really don't type that quickly just yet and that I still depend on the keys and that irks me sometimes. I tried before

Zephyr, do you mean odd jobs? I have done that for a while in between things its not that fun when considering they weren't definite. The pay was ok but to wait, its not something around here....I want to be a boss, I have a plan to open up a multi million dollar skate store but i need to build equity meh...

Thanks mowgly and even though Wise can be a bit blunt, His heart is in the right place....

Thanks to everyone that posted! ^^
Wow.

Well, I work for my parents. It isn't my career, but it gets me money. I work at home, so it's comfortable.

Maybe you could find a job with some of your friends? Or just only look for jobs where you would think that the boss/employee relationship is easygoing.

As misty said dude, you're still young. You don't have to jump into your career right away. I agree with Wise also. Put up a resume online. You'd be surprised.

How does a $40,000 per year job sound? As a first job? My mom never had a job, and now after 4 years, she is the manager of the shiping department at a chemicle company. It actually only took here 2 years, but she has been there for 4.

My point is, is that she found that job online. She worked hard, threw out good ideas, and she got promoted.

Persistance is key.
Renamon no offense to you or anything but persistence is key as you said, then read the list of what I had been through already to look to get a job Evil. Its like you haven't read this entire topic, save the header... I see your point but thats just it, persistence takes you so far, in the city I live in, what more is there to do when people say that they are hiring but they don't want you based on the fact I do not understand Spanish? How about the fact that I don't fit into there quota, cause affirmative action and the fact is the have to hire less qualified people in order to receive government help? Man when I look at a person that got a job at a burger fast food joint had no Grammar school diploma he got the job before me.... Evil  See what I mean?
Oh no, I read it. I just still think you need to keep trying. Granted, you tried a whole lot, but I was mainly getting at you should just keep trying, despite the pricks who wont hire you because you aren't some dumbfuck who isn't as qualified as you. You really can thank afirmative action for that.

You don't have to preech to me about the afirmative action crap, I couldn't agree with you more. I can't stand that crap. In fact, I may start a debate on that. Should be fun.
Gabs you said that you have to understand Spanish right? Well is there a community college where you could take night classes to learn.

Sorry I am sure you have tried it or have a valid reason for not doing something like it. I just thought i might be able to help in some way. Sorry.
Call me Lonely Gabu... But Aguy, its alright and I took 3 years of Spanish honors to understand a majority of it even though I get confused with somethings, I do understand. That isn't my main focus, no offense, this is America, a place where English should be the language that is mainly spoken, but the truth of it all is. that people around here are so lazy, to not learn English causing business to hire bilingual employees if not, only people that talk Hispanic. It aggravates me so much that I have learned Spanish but they have bias because of the color of my skin. That interferes with it because I am Caucasian and its hurting the community and the city we live in because of the majority that chooses not to speak English.

I mean I will try to learn but I rather learn like Japanese or something that I say is more enjoyable.

Renamon S3, who says I was giving up? I just want it once to get handed to me on a silver platter. Just once.....
