I knew for a long time that in Japan that children and teenagers value school more then anything else but it wasn't until recently did I learn the truth. Here is a typical day; they get up and eat breakfast at home. They must either walk, take a bike or use public transportation to get to school, no school buses exist. They take their classes from what I heard in the same room every day, eat lunch they brought with them, no lunch room exists which contradicts the season three episode two where Guilmon eats all of the cafeteria food.

Clean the building which would explain why Takato and Jeri were mopping the floor before she explained her first encounter with Calumon in the nurses room. Continue classes then when school finally lets out they stay for after school activities sometimes staying as late as 7:30 at night before finally going home. Now, my question is if they spend all this time at school six days a week only having one half a day on Sunday I believe, how do any of the children have any time to watch all of the anime like digimon or pokemon or whatnot?

Seeing how they spend so much time in school I can't see how they have any time for free activities. Not to mention they actually like school over there unlike here in the U.S. where I live. Also, what about Nintendo, PS2 and XBOX? I read in my issue of GameInformer that all the new systems are going to Japan eventually and that they sell well there.

Once again, how do they have time to play the systems? I'm pretty sure that certain games are still linked to the minor age area like here in the West and I doubt adults play them. Does anybody here even live in Japan? Cause I'd like to know how anybody there who still goes to school has a personal life. Or is my information incorrect?

Well, I heard that little by little, they're starting to become Americanized (lazier). A lot of schools don't do the Saturday thing anymore. Japanese colleges, unless they're public universities, aren't taken nearly as seriously as high school.

I just heard that Japanese don't live usually in such big flats like they did in Tamers. Usually people who live in a flat with about 50 m

i still like how the gaming companies work in nihon. dont go home just sleep under your desk. X-play is very informative.

Damn good thing, too, those folks NEED to loosen up their social structures.

This also confirms a theory I've had about anime for a while: It's probably all for export to America, and the real Japanese probably resent it and us (the people who watch it).

Video games, though... I think they must spend all of Sunday (and now Saturday) playing video games.

and trust me if they were just making it for export there wouldn't be so many fans in nihon. as far as them needing to loosen up, they are polite efficiant, passioante about what they do with there lives, we were that once, now its just whores booze and drugs,lets not fuck that country up like we did our own.

hehe the cubby holes thing is just because the cities are crowded. and america isnt much better, we loose more free speach and so called " god given rights " every day. start paying attention to politics and law.
