I LIKE that things work outside of the usual levels. It takes the obvious evolution out of the episode. When a champion showed up you knew someone HAD to champion up to handle it. Ultimate, ultimate, mega, mega and so forth. This kind of adds the unique twist of being at least "well will it be X2 to handle it? Or will they xros a weapon? Or X3? Or just Shoutmon with a xrosed weapon or tool?"

Adds a new dynamic, especially now that we know they can xros multiple Digimon, as more of "add-ons" than just fusions or weapons.

This shakes up a formula that has been straight forward since day one, I welcome it.
