What makes Animes work for you?

Difference between OVA and the series (Samurai X) is the sheer amounts of blood and gore found in the OVA, I think. Although it's not that gory. Compared to Elfen Lied that is.

You've seen Higurashi, haven't you? That beast isn't action packed at all... but it's pretty much devoted to gore and sadism! Haha.

I actually like almost every type of anime but if I have to chose I'll chose fantasy/action/comedy.

If you want comedy, watch Great Teacher Onizuka or Golden Boy, and if you want gore/violence watch or read Gantz.

Well it really depends. Many things matter to me when it comes to viewing any anime that its hard to explain. I like a good plot line the one that makes you read in between the lines whether its with brilliant sarcasm or something more of a touch and go of your surroundings. Music is impertinent because its what your mind relaxed through the subtext of the anime and because of that it really kill the mood or make it magnificent. The way the characters interact with one another and something more of a running gang. Every anime has one, sometimes hidden or something that is in plain sight. Its just fun to catch it when it happens and see how they play on the situation.

Anime shouldn't be just all blood, or sex (Like Hentai) or just a plain devoid of anything but a combination of simplistic ideas and created into something so beautiful.
