Since you seem to have such a serious issue with people disagreeing with you, I'm going to make a friendly suggestion to moderate your language in such discussions. You post up in the suggestion thread about a "friendly" debate thread. Why? So other people will be mannerly and you behave like a child when people disagree with you? Your conduct in these debates is utterly reprehensible. All you do is insult people and their opposing points of view instead of arguing yours more intelligently. Instead of making a better case of your own, you attempt to weaken others by insulting it.
No wonder everyone wants to argue with you. You make yourself exceedingly difficult to respect.
Anyway, by your extremely flawed logic of one Democrat speaking for all Democrats, how about your president speaking for all Americans? Yeah, I'll bet that everything that comes out of his mouth is exactly what everyone in your country thinks 100% of the time, isn't it? Everyone wants war, everyone wants oil, everyone is against homosexuality, everyone is a devout baptist, everyone believes you're doing the right thing always (despite the fact that the moral watchdog of the world told you it was wrong).
That logic doesn't quite stack up, does it? Package-deal fallacy alert! *klaxon blares*
All that being said, I doubt you read more of the article than just the headline. His point of view is explained rather clearly with the quote, "I don't see how anyone can support the war and not support the draft. I think to do so is hypocritical."
By the way, if you're going to judge people based on their political affiliation, you should probably remove the part in your profile that says you're in Arkansas before too many people notice, though it certainly explains your radical right-wing views on just about everything.
