I have mixed emotions on the whole ghost thing. Most things of that nature can be explained away, but there are a those few things that can't.

On another note...

The only proof of ghosts that we have are eye witnesses, or scratches.
There is no doubt in my mind that there are crazy mother &*%^%& out there. That explains what they see. I also wouldn't put it past some people to injure themselves, and then cry out: "Honey! Something is scratching my back!", only seconds after scratching themself while their spouse sleeps.

People may very well see weird things. That doesn't mean that ghosts exist, but people tend to blame them anyway.
