Anyhows, I think Poke was referring to Sonic being the hero and Rouge being the, well, opposite.

I myself am kinda in the middle, but I guess it would be a good pairing. Anyway, Knuckles spends his long time guarding the emerald, so I don't know how he'd also find the time for Rouge.

*ahem* Being a big sonic fan, I actually figured this out. No. Sonic and Rouge both have two pair ups for them. Sonic has Amy and Blaze(I just need to get that last emerald to see if this is somewhat true.) And Rouge has both Knuckles and Shadow. It just wouldn't work since they don't have anything in common. The others do.
I have a couple of other opinions if you want to hear them.

I'm sorry but those reasons don't really work. Mostly 5, 7, 8, and 9.
I'm going to need proof of anything that comes from sonic X. (Jp. version.)

I admit some of his reasons are personal, but you have to admit he's got a point on some things. Check out some of the stories; a lot of them are well-written, like "The Great Scam".

Sonic has Amy and Blaze

We'll see about Blaze after Next-Gen, since Silver seems to be interacting with Blaze on one of the clips in the trailer.

With Amy, I think Sonic just finds her annoying. But yeah, the pairing is not impossible between them.


With the Rouge part, I thought Shadow loved Maria?

And the point of Knuckles and Rouge defies my logic. I mean, Rouge tries endlessly to get the Master Emerald, she fails, and Knuckles keeps on guarding it. That has gotta build up some hatred with the many times it's been done.
