You know, this would be a good thing for the forms if they were gonna happen.... Oh well. Anyway, thanks a lot for volunteering! If you have a preference as to what you want to review, just let me know.

I too regret to inform that between my two jobs among other things I have little free time to review anything. If you're absolutely desperate for reviewers I might be able to squeeze in a few every now and then. Although I'm a little more focused on getting everything rewritten so more people can enjoy my material. It's been a long time since this topic was posted on which makes me believe the idea was abandoned. I think it could really bring up motivation. The remaining problem is finding honest and ethical people to do the reviews. They need to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly and all of the other Boy Scout things.

Most, scratch that, a majority of people here are newbies. I'm one of the oldest members who still hangs out here. Now if we really want to put this review crew into motion we'd need volunteers and a rating system. Like point values maybe similar to games on gamefaqs.com or example. Or if you prefer do it based on the rating itself. A+ down to F, 0 up to 100 or 10 down to 0 with decimal values put in as well. I also think more comments on author's pages would also assist in having writers write more. As mentioned in another post, the comments are waiting to be updated. Da Wolfe is probably more concerned with updating new material as opposed to the comments. This is okay since I feel its the right decision.

After all, what he says goes. Since at least 1 new person seems to make an account on this board I'm hoping that more and more authors will join up. Everyone has a different style and every reader has different preferences. And as side note, in case anyone doesn't get the joke I mentioned in the first post of this topic, just tell me and I'll inform you all what it is. Although I'll assume that many already figured it out.

The second line is exactly why I oppose the first line. If a comedy lemon reveiw is based on a sex scene, other things are overlooked. When a bad sex scene bogs down marks for a good read, then people pass over it. I'd rather write what was good and what needs improving, then leave a recommendation at the end.

I just got one comment for my Satisfaction series via mail, but still that project has been slowed down a bit, too much planning on the following chapters xP

Anyways, since I joined this place (yay, another noob!), I'd been trying to write good quality Lemons, and I have to say, from some friends which I show to them, they say that I am going better with each one :P

And by the way, I have free time too, despise of school I can give deep reading to Lemon's and review them, so if you are that desperated to even call me (LOL!), go on, I'm avaliable!

Ah, I remember that we used to have a good old fashioned rating system... let's see if I can dig it up here on my system.

*rummages around through old file system architecture*

Ah, here we are! The grading criteria I used while I was runnig the writing contests!

Quote:PLOT - 10 possible points. This is a score concerning the actual plot and plot development in the story. This also involves wrapping up the plot at the end.

CHARACTERS - 10 possible points. This score concerns the believability of the characters as people, both relative to their series and relative to the story itself.

SEMANTICS - 10 possible points. Grammar, paragraphing, punctuation, mis-spellings, and all variety of miscellaneous issues that plague the writing but not the story.

QUALITY - 10 possible points. This is the overall flow of the story, the connections between characters and events, the overall believability of the story, and how well the judge is able to suspend their disbelief when necessary.

LEMON - 10 possible points. This is the execution of the lemon scene or scenes involved in the story and how they feel relative to the rest of the story. Tasteful and well written sex scenes are much more appealing than rushed ones, and the use of good literary technique helps the writing of sex feel just a bit less like mere porn.

I feel these are suitable grading criteria. If you add it all up, this provides a scale of 50 total points a story could earn. This system tries to help make sure that the reviews are balanced for any style of writing -- they no more relate specifically to a comedy than they do to a tragedy or an action story -- and the only "styles" I feel would be left out are the PwP and the 2ML styles (PwP having a default 0 in Plot and probably a low score in Character as well; and a 2ML doesn't have the time to worry about plot, character or quality). Alternately, all five scores could be grade from 0-20 instead of 0-10, to provide more depth to the grading scale.

Now as long as we had a dedicated review team this could be very effective, but this team may be sacrificing their time to write to review every story, so perhaps it's best that we just have a request for reviews.

Now... on to this new fic I've been inspired for...

Requesting a review? That's a good idea.
