I was going to post this in Original Fiction, but it's not really fiction. To those who have been posting poems recently, allow me to mention that I am a published poet (see "Closer to the Stars" thread). The reason I don't post more poems here is because technically this counts as publication, and magazines want to have first time publication rights. So, I've managed to find a song/poem not good enough for publishing, but good enough to use as an example of rhythm consistency and extended metaphor.
