Origin: A spectral cat demon from the japanese folklore. Unlike most Nekomatas that are created when a cat outlives their master (for over 100 years), Nyu was born from a Nekomata father and a human mother, therefore, she's a hybrid, but doesn't lack any of the innate abilities a Nekomata possesses.
How you got in: Offering a large amount of souls gathered by her clan.
Looks: A 5'6'' tall young human girl with shoulder-length brown hair and green cat-eyes. She's very fit and looks like a girl in her sixteen's, although she might be much older. Her human appearance is all but a ruse to hide her true nekomata form. Startling her while in this form might produce a tail and/or a pair of kitty ears on her head.

For those that cannot see that picture: Nyu's Nekomata form is that of an anthropomorphic female cat covered in indigo blue fur and with a beautifully golden mane running down to her back, combed to flow down her right shoulder. Her tail is forked in two, yet she wears a one piece jet-black, armless leotard which covers from the tip of her toes to her chest. She also wears a pair of black gloves which allow her clawed nails to jut out and uses a black face-guard resembling a ninja mask. She's, as mentioned, 7' tall in this form and much bustier than in her human disguise, sporting much wider hips and longer legs, her assets hugged tightly and noticeably by her leotard.
Bio: A half-human demon who originates from a secluded, passive clan of Nekomata situated in Japan. Her family and friends do not hunt human souls anymore, but instead draw in those stray spirits by the use of a special artifact created by sorcery. The artifact gathers those souls for the Nekomata and allow them to live by the dispersed spiritual energy in their habitat, without having to resort to hunting humans themselves. One day, however, the artifact was stolen and the Nekomatas' power was lost, since most of them weren't used to hunt. With Nyu being a special case, she didn't completely lose her powers, and can call upon them when needed, but it requires a lot of energy for this. She set out on a quest to search and retrieve the missing artifact, but after a long while without clues, Nyu returned to her place and was offered help. If forming herself in the Inferno Academy could increase her powers, she would surely be able to complete her goal.
Misc: Cheerful, bubbly, outgoing. She doesn't like bullies. Ironically, she hates fish, but loves pudding instead. Nyu can be a seductress when she's inclined to, especially when in her Nekomata form; a gaze from her feline eyes can hypnotize a weak-willed person indefinitely so long as she's focusing or a very brief time if the person's particularly strong. She can control the dead, but prefers not to as zombies scare her. Her affinity is electricity, making her an electrokinetic.
Being a spectral demon, she may phase in or out and go through solid objects at will. She's a highly trained combatant, and in her human form she might use short swords or daggers to defend herself, but she needs only her own body in her Nekomata form to fight.
Nyu has an affixion with her mother language, therefore she might mistake words while speaking spontaneous sentences, often replacing what she meant to say with its japanese counterpart. She will assign most (if not every person) she meets a title behooving her respect for them (such as -san, -chan, -kun, -sama, etc). She will always refer to herself personally as Nyu-chan. Also, she might tack 'nyah!' at the end of most of her phrases, as a characteristic trait.
Connections to demons/earth: The Nekomata Clan.
Personal Touch: Her room should be full of pudding. Failing that, she likes having her privacy so if her dorm has two separate rooms it will be excellent. Her outfit was woven with the idea that she is capable of shape-shifting, so if she were to transform into her Nekomata form, Nyu's school outfit will grow with her.
