Well, hopefully I won't have to go back to middleton this tuesday because I've got a job interview with another place, one close to home. They're hiring for customer service, display, and management and they're willing to train. It's in an air-conditioned building and they have three shifts. From how quickly they wanted an interview, I'm betting that if I check out, I'll probably be hired the next day.
Now, there's just the small problem of telling my dad, who thinks I'm throwing away a good oppurtunity by quitting middleton. Well, I've talked to two co-workers there. One's worked there for twenty years, could have been promoted but doesn't want to be, and says he now wishes he never heard of sheetmetal work. The other has worked there for sixteen years, is a foreman, and is also saying that sheetmetal isn't the way to make a living. Not to mention I can't see myself ever coming back to this kind of work, which is what my dad says is the benefit of learning something like this.
