RE: Kingdom Hearts: Darkness Falls - Masquerade - 06-30-2009

It was a classical Western standoff. Kazu glared solemnly at the armored foot, and the foot glared back--at least, it would have been if it had eyes. The assassin took the time to analyze every feature of the foot, searching for vital points to strike and looking for the slightest clue that it would be launching its attack. It was a battle of wills between the two. Kazu could feel his power surging throughout his body.

A single twitch, and that was it.

With astonishing speed, Kazu rushed at the foot slicing the thing in half with the blade attached to his right arm. He closed his eyes as he heard a loud clanging sound behind him as the foot burst into more weird, life-rejuvenating orbs. "Next time it'll think twice before deciding to tango with an assassin." That's when he noticed that there was yet another ally who had happened to join in the battle. Their luck was starting to increase again, apparently.

The armored torso to the attack right to the head, but surprisingly appeared not to take too much damage. However, it was starting to appear really weakened from all the other damage it had took which might not have been much individually, but as a cumulative whole, it was a lot. Realizing that it was close to falling, the torso began to get desperate. It had no limbs left, and barely any life, not to mention that it was outnumbered. It turned sideways and started firing giant, white energy spheres randomly at the three fighters who were close to each other, hoping that one of the attacks would land a hit.

Daisy screeched, throwing herself into the air to avoid the energy sphere that came rocketing towards her.

'We gotcha now, freakshow!' She cried, changing her direction midair to land on top of the armour, striking it with her kunai before backflipping off, landing a fierce kick as she did so.

Shiro had some difficulty catching everything Daisy said, but he managed to get the gist of it. "Daisy, yes. I keep fighting. Watch back, thank you." He replied, trying and hoping that she got it. Following her lead, he scooped up several stray kunais off the ground and darted around the torso, leaping off the ground so he crossed Daisy in midair. "Kouryoushi skurambura!" He commanded, coating the three kunais he picked up with photons, intensifying their cutting ability, and flung them at the Heartless. They flew like bullets, aided by the photon molecules in flight. Now that he had enough energy to coat the weapons properly, they pierced right through the armor like it was tinfoil.

Halibel seemed unimpressed by the armors attack, dodging it with ease thanks to her sonido "This ends now." she said coldly, once more charging her blade with energy only this time she raised i above he head and swung it down, sending a vertical arch of energy at the army like a giant blade.

Daisy grinned widely as she landed. With all the damage the torso was taking, she knew it would fall soon.

'You fight well with my kinda weaponry, huh?' She said to the wolf, leaping nimbly backwards and launching a volley of metal needles at the armour's behind.

'And you fight well full stop, you go girl!' The ninja called to the swordswoman.

Kazu turned around just in time to see the onslaught of his new allies come to fruition. The torso became completely incapacitated and with a strange roaring sound, it disappeared in a pool of shadows, and a large heart emerged and floated into the sky. With a deep breath, Kazu fell to his knees. They had done it. I hope you were watching me, Minami, he thought. The lonely assassin gazed into the star-filled sky, watching intently as the heart released from the Heartless fluttered helplessly into the night. With a sigh, he looked over to see how Roland was doing, only to see that the mage had vanished. Where the hell did he get off to? Damn, we can't wait forever.

It took a little bit of effort, but Kazu managed to get to his feet. He strolled weakly over to the others. "Hey, you guys. I can't believe how strong you all are. You should definitely feel proud about this accomplishment." He glanced over the beast and the new woman with the sword. "I believe we haven't met formally yet. My name is Kazu." He went to offer his hand for shaking when he remembered his gauntlets and hesitated. He took that time to retract the blades on his armlets. "May I ask what your names are?"

From atop the roof of a nearby building, the rescuers from before sat.

"Is that enough proof for you, Leon?" Aerith asked in a smart tone.

Leon chuckled. "I suppose it is. Look at these guys. They could really use a rest."

"We'll escort them to the hotel then?" Yuffie asked.

"Yes," Leon confirmed seriously. "I've got to talk to Cid about the you-know-what." He stood up and jumped off the building. "I'll see you all later--just make sure you give them the full story, all right?" the gunblade master called back up to his allies before taking his leave.

Shiro couldn't help but grin widely as the 'shadow' was vanquished. Not only did they defeat it, he felt better than he had been when Kurohikari had beaten the living daylights out of him. And these people, they were so strong! There was the ninja girl, he knew she was a ninja somehow, a kunoichi. They were a mysterious and obscure society whose specializations ranged from black ops spying, to thieving and even assassinations and sabotage. The busty dark-skinned woman reminded him of a samurai, but her katana was so strange... the thought of sparring with her excited him. Then there was this... strange wizard-swordsman. Was he a Mahojin?

Alas, none of them seemed to speak a shred of Yamato. Only English. He looked left and right, and tapped his chest, his facial expressions asking Me??

"Watashi wa Shirokaze desu. Boku no Shadowguard." He tried to communicate, ignoring the offer to shake hands as he didn't know what that gesture was, and instead leaned forward in a half-bow before straightening up again. "Nice meet all you."

["My name is Shirokaze. I am a Shadowguard."]

Halibel also ignored the gesture and instead sheathed her sword and crossed her arm under her chest "Halibel, Tia Halibel." she stated simply, deciding to leave out her title just in case any of them knew of the Espada 'In my current state I should avoid unnecessary risks.' she thought while watching for any more enemies, her gaze turnng to the figures atop the roofs.

RE: Kingdom Hearts: Darkness Falls - Mai - 07-06-2009

'Well, Shiro, Tia, we really, really appreciate your help! You guys fight crazy well! Oh, my name's Daisy, by the way,' the girl said, smiling at the wolf and the woman before turning to the warrior,

'Looky, Kazu - huh? Yo, where did Roland get to? Y'don't think that the big armour dude got him, do you?' She said, frowning.

OOC: Well, it's decision time, folks! Obli doesn't have internet access at all and he might not be posting for a long time. So, we can either put the RP on pause for the moment, or continue and have him join us later. It's up to you guys. I wouldn't mind continuing, but that's only one opinion of four, so let's hear it.
