Ok, I have a slight problem with writing a story that assumes too much background info that i have to go back and add in. any ideas to reduce that? I also jump from POV to POV that just confuses the whole thing......*shrug*
Publishing the story here would be helpful man, or you could always ask me to look over it on Msn
my stories could be found under fred2008 on ff.net. both digi and hp. most prominent though is the hp.
Someone call for my help?

If there is background that needs to be added in, start off the chapter or setting based on what background the reader needs to know there before progressing. Try not to get too cluttered with the background before getting to the actual story.

For example, in one story I'm writing, the group goes to the capital planet in the star system, so the chapter starts off with a brief explanation of the planet and, the government, and the geography. This doesn't fill up more than half the page, and more details are listed when it's deemed necessary for the reader to know right then and there.
Mhm, I'll have to try that. Maybe I'll see if I can take creative writing or something next semister. I wonder if any other stories jump from pov to pov.
When you say POV, are you referring to changing from 1st person to 3rd, or just character to character? The second one is almost always used. The first however is very seldom used, and is difficult to accomplish.
sometimes i'll write character to character, other times its 3rd person.
I'll have to read your stuff to get a better idea. I'll let you know when I have done so.
