After reading Lord of the Flies--I had to read it my English class--I now have an idea to do a movie--a sort of darker mood feel than the previous films; the ones released in the early 60s and mid 90s. I might pitch an idea to United Artists, MGM, Universal, and Warner Bros.

If they like the idea, then, that is great, you know. Though, it would be a long shot--I've never directed or produced a film before. I've written some notes of this "project", and added improvements(e.g. dialogue, music). The most spent--in my opinion-- probably would be getting the rights to use the music for the film soundtrack from the various record labels(EMI, UMG, Warner).

Music. I should mention that; a "soundtrack." Soundtrack(so far):

Cymbaline-Pink Floyd
Ibiza Bar-Pink Floyd
Embryo-Pink Floyd
Run Like Hell-Pink Floyd
The End-The Doors
Not To Touch The Earth-The Doors
Peace Frog-The Doors
Another Brick in the Wall-Pink Floyd
I will say this. That is a good book. I read it in English. I also read part of Heart of Darkness.

Thanks, man.
Isn't there already like, 2 films of this? Also, i'm sorry to say that i doubt movie makers would take on someone who is underqualified, with a movie idea that merely merges the plot with popular music from the pre-2000s.

It's a good idea for perhaps fanfiction but i wouldn't go as far to say it would be a boxoffice success.

I know, of the two films already. And dude, there has been "underqualified movie makers" that have, made films, that yielded critical praise.

Perhaps, but i'm pretty sure they had an original idea, rather then a remake of an existing film. I don't mean to jump up and down on your script, but it really sounds fishy to me.
I just wanted to be a more darker version of a LOF film. The music, which by the way is freeking badass.
How much darker can you get with this movie?

Just pushing it towards, somewhat harboring a Stephen King dark--in prextext speaking.

The music--in general--helps with this approach.
I'm feeling generous, and you're not being a jerk here, so I'm not going to bash your idea for the many reasons I could.
