Southern California is expected to be hit with about 20 inches of rain over the next week, which I think pretty much blows up the previous record of rain that occurred several years ago... several times.

To top it all off, Los Angeles has raised a tornado warning, and we've already experienced waterspouts (tornadoes on the water) throwing boats and buses around.

Shit's getting a little crazy around here. Ah well, at least it's not an earthquake.
Lucky bastards. Rhode Island never gets any bad weather, only snow.
Oh I would love snow here in cali, I hope the rest of you guys here are ok.
Snow in Georgia would be awesome too.

Well, don't push your luck though... then again if an earthquake did happen and a crack appeared there it would drain all the excess water from the rain... Still wouldn't be good I think ^^'

Be careful and safe regardless... Just hope nothing too bad happens. :/
It's still better than getting fires, though I don't know how you SC people can deal with the stress of constant dangerous weather and seismic activity.

Lots and lots of recreational drugs.

Seriously, however, the fires and earthquakes are rather normal. Our building codes are very stringent and are designed to hold up to a quake. Fires aren't as abundant in certain areas like where I live, and some of these fires are caused by carelessness or arson, taking advantage of the dry weather.

It's funny. On the news earlier, the anchor was going "The weather has been beautiful today! 100% humidity! Winds, heavy rain, booming thunder! Such a relief from the previous months of nothing but dry weather!"

That's the first time I've heard anyone, especially on the news, advertise rain as a good thing, but I agree with him. Rain is awesome.
"In most states, you have 4 seasons Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall. In California, You have Fire, Floods, Mudslides, and Earthquakes."

I'm not sure if that's right or who even said that but I guess it's true.
Sounds like over here, where we're having the 'worst' winter for decades.

So much snow @_@
Whatever happened to global warming?
