Not really sure if this is supposed to go here. But it seemed like the most appropriate place to put it.

I've been going to this self defense class for the last year and a half. It's not a big class, but what we've learned is definitely effective.

But that's not really the point of this thread. I made it to talk about the instructor. I've gotten to know her pretty well since startign the class. (I'm one of the few that volunteers to help clean up the gym when we're done) and recently, we started comparing artwork as well.

Since joining this site, I've scanned through the various art threads, and I recognized one of her pictures from the old thread "I drew it!" I asked her about it, she laughed, and said she'd forgotten all about this place.

Earlier today I convinced her to come back, since not only do we need more girls here, but another thread encouraged us to contact old members and tell them about the name change.

On another, more personal note. Seeing her with her wife and children has made me reconsider the arguments for monogamy and parenting.
Thanks a lot Bones.

Haven't really thought about this place since I left, but obviously I'm back now.

Probably won't be very active. The twins are still a handful, and the wife... Well, she's more than a handful ,,,=^.^=,,,

I'll drop in sometimes, probably on the weekends. Doubt I'll join any RPs this time around.

Now that I've said that.. I've been very busy. In addition to my self defense class I teach three days a week, I'm also one of the bouncers down at the gay bar here in town. People rarely believe that until they've seen me in action though.. Bouncers are generally the big burly guys, not skinny little girls.
Hmm... and what were those changes in thinkign Angela? And hello there Niyara, sometime I'd like to talk to you on an instant messenger (if that's okay). I've yet to get a view from a girl who has children....
It's fairly simple. Before, I couldn't see any rational reason for one person to tie themselves to another in a permanent relationship. However, I can see that, while somewhat limiting sexually.. Such a relationship could be emotionally fulfilling.

As for children. I haven't made up my mind, but I can certainly understand how having a child could be satisfying.
I appreciate the depth and maturity of this topic. I also find it odd that two people can run into each other in real life and both be members here. As far as I know, that's the first time this has happened.

Personally, I don't see the point of trying for a relationship that isn't monogamous. Aren't friends with benefits always inferior to deeply known and trusted soul mates?
Bones? eye twitching

Anyway, it's odd to think of you without that Renamon avatar. Glad to hear things are going well at your end.
She thinks it's funny to call me Bones, because my name is Temperance, and that is also the name of the hyper rational female main character on the TV show "Bones" (And it is her nickname on the show as well.)

Also, Wise, before meeting these two, I didn't believe in soul mates, or in love as anything more than a release of chemicals in the brain triggered by the sight and or smell of an attractive man or woman. I began questioning this at my friend Zach's wedding, and again after meeting Kim (Niyara) and her wife.
I'd like to take this time to say Hi! to my favorite badass lesbo.

Hi!

Okay I'm done.
Well, This is a mature topic. And also, It's better to have a person for you. Because chemicals or not, It's good just to have that one person.
Anyway, hey. So, you and family are good then huh?
Emerald, I don't use messenger anymore (don't have time to sit at the computer all day) but you're welcome to talk to me through PM on the site, I'll answer any time I happen to check in.

Yes, me and the family are good ^.^ We got a loan to buy our new house early last spring. I got my new truck yesterday, the twins are looking more like Logan every day (for those who don't know, Logan is my wife, and the one who actually gave birth) and are constantly testing to see what they can get away with (Though Alexandra still hasn't learned that it doesn't help to run away when mommy says she needs a time out. At least she stays once she's in the chair) Logan volunteers at an afterschool program for gay teens on the weekdays, and on weekends she helps out up at the animal shelter.

Last year we adopted two new dogs, their names are Sid and Shadow. If I can ever get them to hold still when I have access to a camera, I'll post pics. Sid is a pure-bred Chocolate Lab, and Shadow is a German shepherd mix (We think she's mixed with Blue heeler, but we don't know for sure.) Both are very healthy and active dogs.
