Full Version: Gratitude comes in many forms.

And one of those forms is to simply gather people who share the view of interest and appreciation of others who sacrifice their effort, time and money for our site, which keeps living on and continues being our beloved refuge and playground. I never know what goes behind the scenes or what went, but I know there's been next to none a topic about this, so I decided it was time to show gratitude to those who deserve it. If anybody doesn't appear in my list of thank yous, then it just means my memory sucks or I'm just being dumbily lazy, but it does not mean that person does not deserve gratitude, and if somebody else remembers and would like to thank them for their contributions to the site, then be welcome to do so. :)

First of all, I'd like to thank Lord Patamon, because no matter what sort of bug or glitch there appears in the forum, he's always there ahead of time to stomp it and obliberate it before we even have time to complain about it. Making sure of how everything is always in place, and delving into the forum mechanics to keep surprising us with updates and new add-ons. I thank you.

Next, senjuro, I'm pretty sure everybody knows of his financial efforts for the DaD, and his continous zeal to keep everything in as good shape as possible. He always tries to befriend every newbie even since I joined and as far as I'm concerned, you deserve a big applause if anything. I thank you.

Shadowknight and Wolven Backlasher, guys, you've been alongside me ever since we decided to storm in the RPG section back at the begginings of '06, and look at how insanely big and crammed up it's become. It's all thanks to you two, the initiators, and now we all are enjoying the bustling activity in every role-playing forum it's wrought. I thank you two.

To every other member of the staff, Admin and Moderator alike, they are awesome, just by being there. That means that the site is always ready to defend against any distortion or error in the standard parameters and it's what makes the site safe to surf on. Keeping rockin'. I thank you too.

I'm done with my small list of thank yous, but I believe everyone can help in making it even bigger as it deserves to be, by thinking about people who have made a great impact in DaD and thanking them for what they've done if you feel like they aren't appreciated enough, or just want to give a shout out. DaD would not be standing, nor be the same as it is today without these people, so guys, pay your respects as due :3

Thank you in advance.
*Panics* You're not going away or anything, are you!?

Hehe, of course, its just a show of gratitude to all those who keep the forum in good spirits... and... uhm... alive. I'd like to add a few more people to the list who deserve a balled up mass of gratitude to the face;

First, to Lonely Gabu, who've been simply the sweetest guy around, welcoming newbies, sharing helpful opinions and being an all around anti-asshole. We've neglected him, it seems, we've even forgotten his birthday and anniversary. Well belated happy birthday Lonely Gabu, and belated happy anniversary. You're such a nice guy and an all around little horn dog! XD I know its too late to greet you, but I don't want anyone to forget you lil' buddy! Thanks a big, big bunch for sticking around!

Boss! (Mar to the rest of youse!) You dare not be grateful to yourself!? All that sexy, muscly machismo concentrated into hunky dragon mass we all know as DragonMasterX does more than just provide fanservice by simply not wearing clothes y'know. He initiates things! YES!! You bring confidence (at least to me) when you're around, you're a fun roleplayer, and you're an awesome Boss! x3

EEEE!! MR.BIGT!! You've sacrificed a bunch for this site too, haven't you? Thanks for that! And your awesome colorizations!

Wolfeyyy! Another nice guy! Gosh we all probably miss ya, I know I do!

Boss Reo!! ...YEAH!!

And all the regular non-moderators around here. You're the blood that runs through the site's veins, if the mods are the backbones and the admins are the veins! Gosh, that kinda rhymes!
Ah, I've been here for over three years now and met many nice and awesome people along the way. For that, I'd really like to thank all the admins and my fellow mods for helping to keep this wonderful community afloat.

I'd like give some special thanks to DMX who's always there trying to help out or trying to improve the site. He was the first to welcome me here and is a great friend. He's also a great RPer and has really helped to make that section of the DaD thrive.

I'd also like to thank Lord Patamon for keep this place bug free and up to date. Bonus points for reviving the games section as well! A big thanks to Wolfe and Big T as well for helping to keep people in line and keeping things peaceful. Also, another thank you for Senjuro for all his help with funding and helping to maintain the peace as well.

Finally, a very big thanks to all of the fellow posters as well as those who have submitted stories and artwork to the main site, you guys are just as important in keeping the DaD alive.
Hmm, guess I'm giving a shout-out as well. Three years almost here, (EDIT: August 9th... *facepalm*) and I've got to say; staying here was one of the best few choices I've made. There's some really fantastic people about, and if they weren't here I wouldn't know what this place would be like. I've learned a ton of things while being here; some things that could've taken ages. Inspiration, common sense- there's so many things that I've come to know, thanks to the dedication and aspirations of many. There's been the fair share of trolls and mishaps as well, but, heh, that shapes us as a community.

And my first shout-out. DMX, you good ol' hoof. There from the first day and so far hasn't let me down one bit. Became a great friend to me and showed me the ropes, he was a real aspiration as I got used to forum posting and what not. Aside all the personal things, I'm surprised you stuck with me as a friend, considering how awkward I was when I first joined and the following year(s) (Heck, I'm probably still awkward now). But what I want to say is; thank you, and that probably won't equal the amount you've done. I'm really greatful. Excellent roleplayer, and dare I say it one of the leading people keeping that part of the DaD alive. Keep up your fine work, buddy. I don't think anyone could show as much devotion as you have to such a topic... and I think that's a compliment.

Another big shout-out to some of the admins too. Wolfe, for being a very respectable admin and keeping your head on a firm level. I still remember the one time I got into trouble- and that was a lesson I kept to heart. Remarkable man, and I thank him for the time he's poured into the DaD (And the lesson he taught me, as well!).

Reo, for being himself- if someone's got to be on the point, I'd mark him down for it.

Big T, for just generally being himself as well and devoting to the forum too. My memory's hazy but I know you did something large, and I want to just mention thank you for it.

Senjuro, for his amazing work towards the funding section of the DaD and his contributions elsewhere around the forum.

And last off, Lord Patamon, whom if we were without him- this forum would currently no longer exist. His dedication to restoring the forum after the complete wipe of almost a year, and his constant bug-fixing and tech support, forum upgrading and other aspects can't be matched by many others. Even if I were to study all the things behind it, I'd probably not be able to equal the work he's put into keeping the forum in top-notch condition. I hand it to you all, you're all great in your own ways.

And I guess, moderator or non-moderator I haven't mentioned here; all of you add to the experience of being here on the DaD. The brilliant, vibrant artwork we see on a daily basis from the likes of Tigerlily and Lonely Werewolf. The fantastic and almost crisp fanfictions/novels/original pieces we see spawning from creative minds and alike; from Lost Requiem and AWL. Even those people who post generally around about the place, or roleplay- or generally whack about in the Spam and Game Rooms; Crimson Fox, Matt Ishida. Each one of you make the DaD the place it is today, and a lot of you really don't get any of the gratitude you really all do deserve. Even if you don't do something ground-breaking, or you just contribute a little- that's something I think is still worth the gratitude.

I've bust a gut on this, I know. But you really all keep this place alive, and without some of you this place wouldn't have the same colour as it does today. Keep on going, guys. Keep on rocking.
