By far it had to be the Command and Conquer games, those games kicked ASS!
Hey, I could say Sonic 3 & Knuckles since that came out in PC Version and you could choose between Sonic 3 alone, S&K or S3&K to play. But out of all of them, bloody damn Command and Conquer rocked!...
...I don't remember when Starcraft came out.
Brood War came out in '98, so, it falls within this category.

I can't remember but I it was teenage mutant turtle 3 or 2...and a black cat in the bag.
Atomic Bomberman, Lose your Marbles!, Command & Conquer, Age of Empires, Doom, Doom II, Quake II
to name a few.
As for me I am still going through the many games but current fav is either MOO or Civ 2
Oh yea... Felix the cat(Nes) now remember! Teenage turtle 2(nes), and Grandia 2
Classic DOOM's, C&C, and...... Age of Empire!
