hey there everyone!

I just got word that I was accepted into a foreign travel program for America's Brightest kids. I was picked by the President to go over seas to Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and France. Thats all peachy. But here is the problem.

For 20 days over seas, 3 meals a day, transportation and VIP and behind the scenes access to things like the Sistine Chapel and even that Vatican. Altogether costs $6,000.

Well I already have one thousand for spending.... I have until Mid-June to raise $6,000 for this trip. I need sonme suggestions on fundraisers. Any Ideas????

Oh and I will be taking photos galore if anyone wants to see them.

If you're so bright, why are we sending you to Europe? You should go to Iran and use your superior intelligence to convince their president to step down from power. Then you should stop by North Korea.
I am going to Europe to represent the youth of america... so I would be known as a " student ambassador". The ambassadors go to a different area every year. But they all cost about six thousand. So any ideas?

Careful, Wise! You're dangerously close to sounding like a Republican!

Why don't you ask him to convince your own idiot president to step down and save the world a whole lot of bullets? :p

They expect you to fundraise on your own? Man, that's cold! I'll see what I can think of...
And I was going to say "If he picked you I wonder what other kids are like who are going?" Then I do a a laugh like this; lol
But seriously, I have no idea.

Well, good on you. More Americans should travel abroad: those that don't miss out on far too much.

You actually have to pay yourself? Deary me. How about sponcered silence, organising a bring-and-buy sale, holding a charity auction, or pursuding your teachers to go in the stocks and sell sponges at twenty five cents each?
Yep I have to pay it all by myself. Sure my parents might help out but with my parents... can't expect much. So I have to start thinking. Selling sponges might take a while but that is a good back up!

So do they choose a few from every state? Do they make sure that they get a good representation of every ethnic group? Or do they just send mostly Asian kids? When we're talking best and brightest... well, you know.

I sound like someone who doesn't like to see a government program go to waste. Even if Roran is paying out of pocket, there's still some tax dollars going into this, and there's no sense spending them so he can frolic in Europe with wine, cheese, and whores. I'd rather have him in the desert making strides in real diplomacy.
I love you too Wisemon. Haha, well they choose about 50 from each state and then it is weedled down to about 5 as the processes take out the slackers and stuff. My grades shot me up to the 5 along with the ton of interviews.

Just for the record... I am not Asian.....
I have never heard of this, but it sounds like a fun program. I also have to raise some money for a trip to Italy this summer. The only idea i have to make money is to get a well paid job.
