What is the purpose of life?

I heard a man said, "I've got 2 kids now. My job is done."
To him, life is to 'create' next generations. When you got married, got kids and got extra money to spend, your life is complete. His life is complete because he managed to 'create' next generations.

So, people worked extra hard to earn money. No money, life is meaningless. That's why now got so many wars around the Earth. Got so many robberies. Got so many girls got raped and killed.

Someday, somehow, we will die. And when we died, we cannot bring the things we had earn (money, kids, cars) with us to another world. We had to leave this world in naked.

Death is not scary because it is part of our life. If we have the courage to come to this world, why should we feel afraid to leave this world?

The scary questions are: what have we done between dead and alive? Did we find the purpose of life?

I don't think anyone actually knows their purpose until they've accomplished it. Then again I don't really believe in pre-destined events, I think people make their choices not some higher power that controls every action we make like some twisted puppet master.

I have to agree with him... i WAS going to say something unintentionally obnoxious and belittling, BUT I feel that THIS is much better, and better described.

There's no such thing as pre-destined events, you MAKE your own destiny, and anyone who says otherwise is a fool who has either given up, or wants to rule over you... are both good reasons to not listen to them.

The purpose of life is to stay alive long enough to have sex, have kids and raise them so they can repeat the process. Just like every other animal in the world.

No offense, but that sounds kinda bleak, and coldly logical to the point that there is no passion or humanity to your statement.

I want to think that there is a personal meaning for all of us. Why we're here, but more importantly, what we can do and SHOULD do with our lives, rather than be apart of the machine, copulate, and die.

We have sentience, we might as well USE it to assert ourselves to what we want.

And besides, don't you think that your interpretation of Life is a tad... one-sided? I mean, what about those of us who may NEVER have the chance to "make more" of ourselves? Where's the meaning there?

Even with cold logic, there is flaws.

Of course his view is one-sided. A lot of what he says is like that.

What I said is the meaning of life. Oops, I'm souless...oh well. However, according to my logic, my life is meaningless, but I'm having a good time with that.

Well if that's what you think for you life then that's ok.
