as for the problem of religeous concern, all bullshit (me speaking as a christian) Jews have a God; Angelicals have a God, Christians have a God, Chinese have a Buddha (AKA God), Indians have a Vishnu{if that's how you spell it; you know what I mean... *sighs*} (AKA God) Natives have a Creator (God); you see where I'm getting at? in most cultures it is all one God! why can't people get it through their goddamn skulls! not everyone was born in one place! why does it matter that they name God different? it's no worse then calling Bob as his other version of his name Robert (Bob=Robert, Charlie=Chuck, etc.)
in my opinion, the holy world is fucking racist/Speciest (whatever you wanna call a god if it's another species). you worship a creator, you worship God.
this is why I'm an atheist. there is too much discrimination to who God is. I personally don't give a shit, but if people are being emotionally hurt by DISCRIMINATION (and I fucking emphesize that!!!) it really pisses me off!
if you love someone, it shouldn't matter what religion they fall under. no matter WHAT, you all worship the same God whether it's female, male, a 6-armed elephant, or a piece of shit! it's still GOD!

Deep down, I think more people are atheists than it might outwardly seem. Just because people say God does this and I thank God for that, doesn't mean that they actually believe it. This is especially true of politicians.

That is a damn dumb reason to be an atheist. It has nothing to do with what you actually believe about the existence or not of God, and it makes the irrelevant decision on incomplete data.

No problem about that... I would hardly call that a terrible snap.
Besides, the real problem is how to get there. That's the key difference in all religons.
When you start getting into zealotry, that's when things get a little dicey. One of my aunts is what could be best described as a zealot. She's a passionate believer in all things biblical, even the stuff that makes no sense, no matter how you translate it.
People like that disturb me, greatly. It's like a significant part of their brain got removed or something, and now any degree of logic and common sense they once possessed dribbled out their ear one night when they were sleeping.

I do understand you plight though, to be fair and honest, the Christians and Catholics really start all the trouble and they hardly understand what they are fighting about, science has killed off most religion as well but I stick to Set and decided he was that same force you find when you are in a forest, overwhelming bliss and a slight fear of not knowing

I don't see what the problem is, I have a god, they have a god, he/she/me have a god. I don't care what you are if you don't care what I am. Simple as that.
it's just an issue with people not wanting to believe that because they haven't lived with a culture at creation, they tend to live different ways. believe different things that essentially are God.
and to properly explain what made me an atheist, I was constantly smacked around by a nun in grade 3. I was never smacked before. I was catholic, but after I found that god teaches to punish an slap around people (people meaning:just me for some screwed up reason) for trying to figure the answer to math problems because I can't know the answer within 3 seconds. same thing in health class, etc.
the way I thought it; (and thinking about the past times when if you never believed in God, you either convert or die) if Got teaches violence screw that.
I'm very easy to discourage, and I had major depression as a kid
