Anyway, my response to digiomon after I saw it was, "Gee, that's a whole lot better than Pokemon."
I'm still not able to see any of the digimon seasons, and have to watch them in my compy, but meh... even if I complain till I lose my breath, I won't get DirectTV to have Jetix
You could always burn them onto a DVD and get a DVD player that can play mpg's and avi's (they do exist!). According to my technomancer brother-in-law, TV's are excellent at making low quality images look good. It's what they're designed to do! ^_^

Sorry but I must return to topic, lol.
At first I was biased regarding Digimon. I always thought Pokemon was cooler, 'cause I was Pokefan (and still are, in an anime-sh way) and so Digimon: The Movie came into sight. I watched it, and MAN, did I go crazy. Ever since then, I support Digimon, however, I have done a small comparison chart:
STORY: Digimon's story is far better done than Pokemon.
QUALITY: Pokemon and Digimon stand evenly matched with animation.
MUSIC: Evenly matched as well but Pokemon gets more support financially speaking.
OVERALL: They're matched. Digimon is less supported by media but it's better, whilst Pokemon is a but worse but children adore it. In other words it's a tie.
Except for Team Rocket's orchestral backdrop when they show up, I honestly don't remember what the rest of the music is like.
Personally, I really like Digimon's soundtrack. It's got a lot of nice touches that really add a lot. There's music playing almost continuously throughout.
Team Rocket had so much ptential! damn losers, in the words of the great Roger Smith, "If you're going to be a criminal, at least act professional!"

anyhow, the Digimon soundtracks are better, especially Flaming Ice, though I have no idea what she is saying, however I know they are meaningful and lovely (let me dream)

The character songs for Digimon are usually pretty good. My favorite is probably "Mirai."
