Well, it's the same when people were wearing sth in a lucky day, and then they always wear it again when they need luck. Even myself have avoided wearing the clothing I put on when my grandmother died (I was wearing new clothing that day). I'm sure they had nothing to do with that death, but I've always been wary of them. Stupid maybe, but it's that.
