First of all, Happy Birthday to me. I'm 22, and yes, like most of you, I'm still a virgin. :)

So, I just bought the new Foo Fighters CD (it came out today). It's $9.99 at Best Buy all this week. It's a good deal; 20 tracks: 10 rock, 10 acoustic. Here's the problem: it's license protected. You have to download the licensing for both CD's (go to My Computer and CD drive). In order to change the file names to include spaces and the artist, you have to agree to the pop-up each time, because it's read-only. If you want the Best Buy exclusive bonus track, it involves Napster (I'll get back to you on this). I think the tracks can be loaded onto a Dell DJ, but they're incompatible with iPods, because of the licenses. With all that said, it's probably their highest quality CD yet. This is the first time I've played a Foo Fighters CD and immediately liked every song. Some of them are good enough to merrit this type of paranoia, but I hope this doesn't become the standard. Otherwise, there's going to be a lot less music being purchased and made, in the long run.

If you're not a fan of Foo Fighters, or computer hassles, and you don't have any songs by The Offspring, their greatest hits comes out next week. If you only liked the hard songs on Audioslave's first album, don't bother with the one they have out now. Let's see...anything else out now...oh yeah...Punk-o-rama 10 is $4.99 at Best Buy this week. It has 20+ songs, and 20+ videos on a bonus DVD. Not all of the bands are great, but "Mission From God" makes it well worth the price.
I'm gonna be 22 this month too, and I'm still a virgin.

Feliz cumpleanos! :)
Wow I don't know if I could handle that much computer BS just to listen to some music. Though I do understand why they'd go to those lengths to protect their work.

Wise, you're one year and a day younger than me. (June 13th 1982 1:47am)

Although I have met people even much closer to my age. In grade school I knew a girl only a day younger than me and in middle school one of my casual friends was two hours older than me and we were born at the same hospital. We were probably in the nursery together. Freaky huh?
That sucks with all those pop-ups and hassles. Whenever I put my Iron Maiden Peice Of Mind CD into my computer a program starts, and it goes into this whoel thing that takes five minutes to quit when all I wanted to do was listen to my CD on Window Media Player.

Though, i guess that's not quite as bad.

My best friend from grades 3 to 6 was two days older than me, so I'm used to that sort of coincidence. Actually, I've noticed that there are an awful lot of June birthdays. I think it's the most common birthday month, and I think it's for one of two reasons: Either people have more unprotected sex in September, or men are most potent in September. Somebody should do a study.

You do have to sign up for Napster for the "free" track. In other words, credit card numbers, so fuck that! The first disc is good, but the second disc, with the exception of "Friend of a Friend" (most likely about Kurt Cobain) is really bad. Some songs, like "Razor," sound like they were written in under a minute. I was almost ready to say it after hearing "Times Like These," but now I'm ready. Foo Fighters sold out. Not in the indy to major label kind of way, or the improving the art kind of way, I mean in the punk to whiny pop punk worst kind of lowest common denominator kind of way.
I turn 22 in december so I have a while to go. So that much trouble just to listen to a cd huh. That gets annoying real quick I bet.
Happy birthday, Wise! And now for your gift....
*holds still btw a hip-hop CD and a Bush poster*
...........
..........
Nah, wait, I got it!
I know you never got any of those!!!!!!! *gives him a ghost trap*
.......
Why are you looking at me like that?
And sth else:
I'll see how you complain when you reach my age and are still virgins....
*gives Wise a fruit cocktail and grabs one for herself* *grabs him by the shoulder* Let's sing together. 'I can get no...sa-tis-fac-tion...I can
Actually I prefer being a virgin to loveless casual sex. At least I don't have any regrets about doing something stupid in the past.

Besides I figure when the time comes I'll be so eager to please that whoever she is she'll be satisfied one way or the other. Half the guys I knew in high school didn't give a shit about the girl since they had the attitude that they could get whoever they wanted.

Nearly got into a lot of fights with my friend's boyfriends back then. I had a tendency to just hang out with girls. In retrospect that probably didn't help too much, people tended to assume I was gay because of that and the fact that I've never been into stuff that most guys are: sports, cars and an obsession with getting laid.

Where did you say you lived?
