Digiartists' Domain Community!

First off let me say that I mean no disrespect to Chibi Renamon by saying the following. I appreciate all he's done to keep the site alive. I've seen the messages and announcements that he's made about not having any time to update the lemons and pictures. I also suggested some of this stuff directly to him but he never got back to me. Whether he's ignoring me or just away somewhere I don't know. So I was thinking why not change the site design? I don't know jack about web design or hosting fees but my assumption is that it couldn't be so hard to change the site around like it was 1-2 years ago or cost much to host or change either.

My idea is to have the lemons and pictures be updated by the authors or artists themselves. This would be very similar to fanfiction.net and adultfanfiction.net. Like them the writer/artist would make an account, upload the file or put it into a text area and write down any details they want. It would also list every newly updated story/pic and keep count. Fans can write their own comments directly and the account holder will have the power to remove anything they feel is insulting. This way nobody would need to update and hopefully we'll have enough lemons and pictures to fill the Atlantic Ocean.

I have no authority over such a decision of course I mean it just as a suggestion to attract more people and get the site back to the way it used to be. It won't be a snap to do but I feel working together and having determination can make this site flourish. Authors would write more, artists would draw more. What do you think?

Like what? So long as there's someone making sure no one's spamming garbage, it sounds pretty good to me.

You'd need some mod that makes sure the pics/fics accord to the rules.

Yeah that's what you would need to do seeing as some people would be really stupid when posting.

Yeah I can see that happening. But if a lot of people volunteer or get assigned to such a duty then we probably won't have too much hassle. I really think we can get this project moving along if enough support is gathered.

It sounds like a good idea. Though Fanfiction.net has some of the worst crap on it I've ever seen, stuff that should be taken down.

that could work have the comunity regulate itself wich means create a simple forum bit with the purpose of reporting well misuse of the system so a mod could just browse trough that forum lets say once a week and pluck off the bad bits ... sounds easier yes

A lot of the bad stuff on FFN was taken down when they took down all the NC-17 fics but a fourm for that does sound like a pretty good idea.

Well now that we have more ideas added on what can we do to see that they're put into action?
