It's good, it's good. I don't like poetry all that much, but this I don't mind.

Doesn't this topic belong in the Authors' Forum?

I'd say it's fine in General Chat if you consider that the poem is inspired -- kind of -- by a current news affair.

Anything rappish that I do, especially political stuff, is really more inspired by Zack de la Rocha. I saw Eminem, proper as always. Some people say that he's made it big just because he's white, and that's part of it, but really, he has the most meaningful lyrics of any rapper out there. His songs aren't about bling, asses, or pimping, unlike pretty much every other rapper. Still, he's far from the best lyricist out there now. "Dexter" Holland and Chris Cornell, two of my favorites, have him beat.

Yup, I agree. Even though I don't listen to that kind of music, I have to admit Eminem isn't all that bad.
On the other hand, he still has made a fair number -- to say the least -- of stupid/meaningless songs. ^^;;;

I don't care for him that much, but his two most popular songs (The Real Slim Shady and Without Me) have good beats to them. That's what ultimatly appeals to me.
