I was at work ok, and my manager Jamie walks up to me and askes for a servers cell number, she called in sick so I figured he was just seeing if she'd be in tomorrow or something like that. He calls her and yells at her, full well knowing that I like her and now it looks like I helped him do it! I thought I was being helpful and it turns around and craps in my face. I like this girl so much and I can only hope she'll forgive me because had I known he was going to do that I would have never given him the number. How could he do that knowing how I feel about her? I only hope I get to work early enough to give him a piece of my mind. I am definately going to his higher up too. This is crap, somehow no matter what I do it always ends up biting me in the end. I just needed to vent this to anyone.
that sucks the guy's an ass
I would've given him the wrong number, and then I would've "wondered" with him why it wasn't working.
Well I thought he needed to get a hold of her for something important, if I had known he was going to yell at her I would have told him to screw himself.
where does he live? im gonna burn his family alive!!!!!!!!! stupid humans and mortal ways of living!!!!!!!!!! BOW DOWN TO ME!!!!! OR I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!! thanks i needed that...

That's not how you talk in person, is it? What you have is tough, but talking like that certainly won't help. I threaten people too, but I try to keep it subtle. If you learn to develop an intimidating stare, it goes a long way.

Didn't you learn anything from the X-Files? How about the Walmart overtime scandal? You should never put blind trust in your superiors. Take your stand; make your "Territorial Pissings". Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you.
ha and where'd you get that one from
I wasn't putting trust in him as a supervisor I was putting trust in him as a friend (we hang out outside of work too). Now I know I can't trust him.

Well I did talk to her and she dosen't have any grudge against me, she knows I wouldn't do that, and I asked her out a while back and we might finally go to a movie. I didn't get to talk with him yet unfourtunately but I will, and I am gonna keep it short and sweet and tell him that I don't want to be any part of him trying to screw people over and he had no right to use me to reprimand my friend, her of all of them.

milk me!

I'm not saying that you're overreacting, but take a deep breath and think about this clearly.

If you're mad at this person, then you need to calmly tell him that you didn't appreciate how he spoke to your friend over the phone. That' really all you can say to him about that. Of course, you probably feel used, and maybe you were to an extent, but if this person is your supervisor, then he really wasn't breaking any rules. I understand that you volunteered the information out of a belief that it wasn't going to be used against your friend, but once you clock in for work everyday, you kinda surrender your personal allegences to the company. That's kinda how work is, whether it's right or wrong.

And if your friend is upset at you or feels betrayed, make it clear to her that you had no idea that your supervisor was going to call her to chew her out for not coming in (or whatever the reason for it was). If she's a reasonable person then I'm sure she'd understand. Then again, if she has no idea that the supervisor got her number through you, then there's little reason to go and notify her of that now. And there's always the chance that by now, the whole incident has been forgotten by both your supervisor and your friend. So don't do anything irrational.
heh well sometimes rough is the only way to go
