This is the first installment of a bunch of anime shorts that show the build up to the events of The Matrix. How the Matrix was built, how the powerplants were constructed, etc...

This is the first of several, called Second Reinessance (sp), showing the first rebelious robot who started the rebelion of the entire robot "species", the war between the UN and the bots, how Zero One, the robot empire, was constructed... and a few other things. Well worth a watch.

There will be a new one coming out each month until the release of the Animatrix DVD, scheduled in May sometime... also the same time Matrix: Reloaded will come out.

And for those of you that don't know, Matrix: Revolutions (3rd installment) will be coming out in October of 2003.

Because Keanu doesn't have that neck brace due to the surgery he was under during the first Matrix movie, expect more dramatic fights and flowing movements... he wont be so stiff.

And theres also a Matrix videogame coming out about the same time as either Reloaded or Revolutions for all game systems (ps2, gamecube, and xbox, pc as well I believe).

Ye, im a Matrix freak. im flying to the US to see Reloaded in May when it comes out. Should see me cueing about a week before its released if your going to Washington DC to see it.
Ill proberly do the same from Revolutions, and yep game does look good its a shame tho that from all clips and pictures i seen teh graphics are really bog standard (crap).
And that Animatrix episode was out a while ago. but as you said im just waiting for it to come out on DVD.
As for major fan award. I seen the Matrix Reloaded trailer both the 1st one and the super bowl one, nearly 500 times each i recon, thats not bs either :/

I watched each thing once, I dont want to keep going over it... ruins the suspense for me.

I'll be going to Silver City in one of the suburbs of Toronto to see Reloaded, since I'm canadian.
