I noticed a number of folks around here play online games, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who plays Phantasy Star Online... So am I? Or do other people out here play PSO... and actually go online, I mean.
Ah, just something I thought I'd bring up...
I used to go onl;ine with DC version but that was like 2 years ago, gave up online mainly because of the NOLers and PKers around. I don't think DC version can be played online anymore. :/
I also have the GC version but I have not registered or paid for online service as of yet.
I use to play the DC version as well, but I left it because of the rediculous fees you had to pay to play.

Nope, DC is not supported since this past October, and the GC version is a lot of fun... And there are always groups you can find that don't cheat or abuse the system. I just registered for the GC version last week, so I can't say how great online will be in the long run, but it's worth it for the free month, at the very least.
If you have the Broadband or Modem adapter, I'd definitely suggest registering for online play, but if you don't have either don't worry about rushing to get one (I use the BBA). And $8.95 a month isn't too ridiculous of a fee, at least it's not $12-13 a month like some games that I don't yet have but will probably be getting eventually.
If you do play online, look for me in either US:Antares or JP:Mintaka, wherever the most users are. Sephiroth [HUmar] and Cassandra [HUnewearl] are my main online chars, but you may also meet Bahl [HUcast], Shimoko [RAmarl], Shinobu [Racaseal], Fiara [HUcaseal], or Nethan [FOmar] -- they're all me. And just look at my name here for my name on Sega's PSO boards... not very active there, but I post every now and then.
Oh, and if you do go online, I strongly suggest you invest in a keyboard... messages are hella slow without it.
